If we look at the history of the sport, what rank of biggest heavyweight fights in history would this fight be at?
Top 5 in the history of the sport? I mean, can we name many more bigger heavyweight fights? I can't think out more then a handfull actually. Can any of you guys? Will there come any bigger heavyweight fight any time soon?
Ali vs Frazier 1
Ali vs Frazier 2
Ali vs Frazier 3
Ali vs Foreman
Ali vs Spinks
God that was easy
Ali-Coopman could be included too.
Any bout that involved Ali was far bigger than whatever passes for a major bout today.
Nikolay Valuev's WBA world heavyweight title defence against Owen Beck resulted in the combined weight of both combatants being 563¼ lbs.
I expect Jarrell Miller to be at his fittest for his bout against AJ, weighing just under 300lbs, with Anthony Joshua entering the ring around the 245lbs mark. So I expect the combined total weight of both fighters to be approximately 545lbs.
In terms of size, the Valuev-Beck is likely to continue being the “biggest” world heavyweight title fight in history for the foreseeable future.
In the context of non-title fights, Butterbean’s bout against Joe Siciliano could be the “biggest” ever, with the total combined weight of both combatants being 731lbs.

What about the aforementioned Valuev-McCline title fight where the combined weight was about 590?

Yeah, you're right. My eyes deceived me and inadvertently transposed the numbers when I checked the BoxRec stats. Well spotted!
You don't know any fighters whom Joe Frazier beat? Seriously ?
Well apart from the obvious, Muhammad Ali, you've not heard of Jerry Quarry, Oscar Bonavena, Jimmy Ellis, Buster Mathis, George Chuvalo, Eddie Machen, just to name a few.
Ok they were before your time. Well Sam Mc Vey, Buddy Baer, Tony Galento, Roland LaStarza , they were before my time but I know who they were. You are a boxing fan, right?

He's not a troll.
He's to dumb to be a troll. He's a waste of time

Joe Frazier? A guy who's smaller then... Well me for example, and lost all the fights he has ever fought where I actually know the name of his opponent from at all? Spinks? You mean Leon Spinks with his 17 losses? Really?
Like any of these guys would even have a 1% chance at the moments of their fights against a 20 year old Miller.
I've heard of Jarrell Miller; he's that guy who advertises a French tyre brand beginning with 'M', isn't he?

I've long maintained he isn't a troll. He has his own unique take on reality that's all
Is that the politically correct way to say he's nuttier than squirrel turds?
Ouch. Politically correct? Tiny you insult me. I prefer to avoid being unkind about our Dutch friend. It's a bit overcrowded on that bandwagon and besides, I rather like the way he absorbs punishment and just keeps on coming. He's a regular Chris Arreola.

Speaking about Joe Frazier without respect.... OMG
Obviously, this is the sign of :
A) stupitidity
B) ignorance
C) kidding
Sadly I think we have rule out C) It may of course be a case of talking nonsense in a futile attempt to defend a previous poorly thought out argument. I'd be lying if I said I'd never done that.

We'd all be lying. I learned early on to just fall on my sword.

I did that once ... couldn't make love for a fortnight.
