Brilliant from Fitzgerald, great to see two prospects willing to put their '0' on the line relatively early in their respective careers. After the knockdown I was willing Fitzgerald to push for the stoppage but he seemed content that he'd done enough - wasn't sure he would get a decision but felt the right man got the win thankfully. Fight of the night, as expected!

I had Fowler up on my scorecard but i understand the decision. He needed a bath of humility, though

I think most folks scorecards reflect a dislike for Fowler, he outboxed Fitzgeraldy handily for 9 out of 10 rounds. Good fight, but Fowler on the 10 pms & 4 scoring criteria won clearly.

I think he will continue to entertain at UK level for sure. I would love him Vs cheese or a rematch with Fitz as a headliner even. I enjoyed this fight a lot and it was really close in levels :OhYes:

You only usually see that stance in black and white footage.

It's a dismal stance and limits his movement. It didn't even get him to British level before he got found out. That's the core of his problem. It doesn't look like his chin is that good.

That pearly white smile was so vomit-inducing, I was gutted that Fitzgerald didn't deliver the final left hook.

His trainer, Dave Coldwell came through the Ingle system.
The Sky team love to heap praise on the Dave Coldwell gameplan but Matchroom are gifting him highly decorated amateurs. Has Fowler improved?

I think the problem is that I do. Most folk don't seem to credit scoring shots to the body either. The punch numbers (if there are any) would massively favour Fowler, and the best quality punches in each round (bar 10) came from him too.

Let’s forget our scorecards.. and look at the 3 judges.. 1 scored it for your nephew and the other 2 scored it for Fitz.. he only won because of the KD. What you complaining for?

RKY we all have our opinions & see things different

Imo,I don't know what fight you were watching, and I'm sure you don't know what fight I was watching in your opinion,

But fowler talked like a c**t from start to finish, prattled on about a load of nonsense, went on like a bully beef, underestimated his mans will to not be beat and he payed the price

I don't pay much attention to pressers or twitter spats - I don't see what "talking like pudendum" has to do with how wrong people scored the mid rounds in this 1.
