Wladimir Klitschko to fight at Olympic Stadium in Kyiv on May 25

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

The live sports streaming service DAZN has convinced Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko to return to the ring during the final round of three-month talks, according to Ukraine's sports news site Sport Arena.

The Ukrainian will hold three fights that will allow him to earn $120 million. The previous offer has been increased by $40 million. The Ukrainian legend of world boxing will receive a fee of UAH 1 billion for each fight.

The first boxing match will be held at the Olympic National Sports Complex in Kyiv. The organization of the fight in Kyiv will be a kind of gift to his elder brother, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, since a boxing evening will be held on May 25 and it will be one of the major events during the celebration of the Kyiv Day.

Wladimir Klitschko last fought in the Ukrainian capital on December 5, 1998, when he suddenly lost by technical knockout to American Ross Puritty at the Sports Palace (this was the first defeat in Klitschko's professional boxing career).

Wladimir's opponent and the start of the sale of tickets for the fight will be announced shortly.

Has to be an April Fool. $120m for three fights for Wlad would be throwing money away. He aint earning that kind of cash any more.

Not sure why DAZN want to waste money bringing Wladimir back. Better off trying to lure young talent.
