Nice to see a bit of realism about the matterRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑11 Apr 2019, 06:57 Luke Campbell: Loma Will Stop Crolla, Play With Him - Or Both!
Olympic gold medal winner Luke Campbell expects countryman Anthony Crolla to take a terrible beating on Friday night from WBA, WBO lightweight world champion Vasiliy Lomachenko.
Some oddsmakers have the British boxer tabbed as a 100-1 favorite - despite his past as a former world champion who pulled off several upsets.
“I don’t give Crolla a chance, he is made for Loma. Loma with either stop him or just have fun with him, he might even do both. Crolla will be getting a good payday for it but I don’t believe for one second that he can beat him. He doesn’t have the one-shot power to shock him, he is going to get a beat comfortably," Campbell told Sun Sport.
“I can’t give him any advice because he couldn’t do what I would tell him, he is just not that sort of boxer. I would tell him to change his style. Mentally I would tell him to forget what everyone is saying, go out and enjoy the moment and your retirement fund.”
Lomachenko is a two-time Olympic gold medal winner, has an amateur record of 396-1, and is widely regarded as one of the top pound-for-pound boxers in the sport.
Campbell is potentially a future opponent for Lomachenko down the line, and he believes that he's capable of beating the three division champion.
"Loma is a much better fighter now than he was for his first pro loss. I beat him by being me; tall, awkward, strong, fast and skilful," Campbell said.
“I used to be tall for the weight but now I am big for the weight and that is a big difference. I am a big and strong lightweight and I am only getting stronger and better.
“This is my time and me and Lomachenko will make the division. It would be a class fight but I need to win that WBC title first, then I can look for that showdown. It would put two Olympic champions and two world champions against each other to unify the division. I would love the fight. He is certainly in my path.”

I give Crolla only slightly better odds of winning this fight than me - and that is just because he will actually be in the ring and I will be sat at home.Fearful_Freddie wrote: ↑12 Apr 2019, 06:01 Poor lad is going to get marmalised. Highly likely his last fight.
Hopefully he ends the fight ok, and Tesco pulls him out sooner rather than later.

Oh this..
Nipsey Hussle memorial: One person killed at procession
A person has been killed during a memorial procession for rapper Nipsey Hussle, with three others injured.
Shots were fired as the crowd walked through Los Angeles in commemoration of the 33-year-old, who was killed in LA last month.
"We must stop this senseless violence," LAPD Chief Michael Moore said.
Thousands of fans came out to celebrate the life of the Grammy-nominated musician, with Barack Obama among the people who wrote letters in tribute.
The suspects fired from a grey Hyundai as the four victims paid tribute to the musician, according to police.
The victims are described as three black men and one black woman between the ages of 30 and 50.
Jay Z, who Nipsey worked with through his Roc Nation label, attended the memorial service at the Staples Center along with Beyonce.
Snoop Dogg, Meek Mill and Diddy were also there to pay respect.

i agree firt time i want loma to lose, i was thinking what tatics can crolla aply in this fight to win . back him self in to the corner and just gun sling from there , go on crolla ladhandsofstone wrote: ↑08 Apr 2019, 06:45 Love seeing British guys get the big fights especially over in America and Crolla is mandatory so he's earned his shot, he beat Yordan fair and square but if there ever was a result that was a formality then its this one, Crolla been a terrific servant to the sport, former world champion and has never been afraid of taking risks when it comes to talking on opponents, some great wins throughout his career going back to domestic level and one of the nicest guys in the game so hard not to root for
I'll always back a Brit fighting a foreigner especially for a world title but Lomachenko is probably my favourite boxer of all times, an absolute genius in the ring, his footwork, punch variety, angles, movement, speed and ring IQ are the stuff great wanks are made of, also he's a fvcking dude outside the ring along with his mate Usyk whos also cool as fvck
Lomachenko wasn't as sharp as usual against Pedraza but still dominant, had Pedraza down twice late and nearly got him out of there, when you watched highlights of the fight you seen how great and subtle his work is, a joy to watch
Crolla bit a slow starter, ups the tempo each passing round, high guard and breaks guys down with body punching and a high workrate down the stretch, Loma's a patient starter too and likes to have a look early, throw some feints before getting to work, I honestly cant see how Crolla can win a round, maybe he can nick one of the first 3 whilst Lomachenko is having a look but once Loma gets to work it depends on how quick he turns the screw on Crolla, if he's having fun and in no great hurry then Crolla might last after the halfway mark but if Loma starts to dig in the heavy shots early then I reckon he'll stop Crolla early
Lomachenko will probably finish Crolla with body shots, Linares and Pedraza were felled by shots downstairs and Crolla's high guard will be an invitation for Loma, I reckon Lomachenko in 8

Crolla seems to be a nice guy. But I do not see anyway possible for him to win this fight
Lomanchenko wins ko 7

Zurdo should be coming on now....

Re: Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Anthony Crolla - 12 April 2019
I'm thinking right about thereabouts too. Round 6 thru 9. Somewhere in there. 7 sounds about right to me as well. Crolla is a tough S.O.B but the talent gap here is just massive, and the one time in Crolla's career that he was stopped it wasn't against an opponent the level he's facing tonight. Lomachenko is the best fighter he's ever fought, and likely will be in his career. He's undoubtedly going to lose every round, and I'd be pretty surprised if he doesn't get stopped.tiny_acres wrote: ↑12 Apr 2019, 21:33 Crolla seems to be a nice guy. Re: Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Anthony Crolla - 12 April 2019
Im surprised people are calling this such a mismatch
Crolla is a world level fighter, has a decent resume, won a world title and was competitive with Linares. Hes also pretty durable.
Loma is a few levels above, but its hardly Fielding vs Canelo. Or Hyland been fed to Russel Jr.
I put it on par with Bellew vs Usyk. A solid, top ten fighter vs tge best in the division.

Re: Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Anthony Crolla - 12 April 2019
This isn't nice - not really a fight at all.
Re: Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Anthony Crolla - 12 April 2019
This isn't a "mismatch" at all, it's a champion vs a worthy challenger with a good record.
But how does Crolla win ?

Crolla's not been busy or dirty enough.
He just didn't have the power to keep Loma from teeing off at will.

dang, nice ko
Re: Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Anthony Crolla - 12 April 2019
Hope Hearn and the arseholes at Sky are happy! Crolla had no business being in the same ring as Loma there and he could've been seriously hurt! Absolute fuckin shambles man!
Re: Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Anthony Crolla - 12 April 2019
Referee cam a bit too much with crolla on the floor. Easy win for Loma, hope crolla got enough money after deductions
Re: Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Anthony Crolla - 12 April 2019
Hope Crolla is all good after this. Definitely need to send him to the hospital asap in case there is any bleeding.
