Looks like Loma has adjusted to 135 just fine.

Bring on Garcia!

Crolla looked lost in there. Just covered up the whole time. I expected better from a seasoned vet. Then again, maybe Loma is that good.

The Sky Sports commentary team Spencer Oliver and Darren Barker were disappointed with how referee Jack Reiss handled the bout - insisting he did not protect mandatory challenger Crolla enough.

Oliver said: “Yeah, he should’ve stopped it in the previous round.

“It wasn’t just one or two unanswered punches, it was 20-odd unanswered punches.

“The referees are there to protect the fighters and Crolla was in trouble. That was a bad knockout.

“We have witnessed brilliance here. What he has demonstrated there was incredible.

“But the referee should have pulled it then. There was no urgency whatsoever from the referee to stop the fight at the end of the third round.

“He landed a left hook and that made Crolla’s legs stiffen and that is when it should have been stopped there because he wasn’t coming back.

“The referee jumped in and Crolla wasn’t coming back.

“I don’t care what anybody says but that fight should have been stopped there and then.

“It was bad refereeing. He had given him the count and the inevitable was going to happen.

“The fight was won then and there.”

Unfortunately couldn't stay awake for this one, just caught up and it was pretty savage.

Loma is something else and Crolla was barely ever really a world level contender if we are being totally honest.

That's a one of the best fights, that can be made right now. But will it happen? People talk about Loma breaking his right hand. That's a pity. But maybe Garcia will need some time too, in order to prepare himself back for the lightweights. So theoretically they can fight next. But nah, that sounds too good, so that won't happen.

Crolla was a fall guy and everyone knows it.
That said Lomachenko did look good and finished him off in time and style.

Arum/ESPN/Loma did not want this fight..

Arum explained the fight got shoved up their ass. Hearn is good at getting his guys into mando positions and he did just that for Crolla, which was good for him.

TBH, had Commey not gotten injured, it would have been Loma-Commey anyway, but Crolla would have gotten his shot eventually and we know it.

That was incredible to watch. Loma controlling the ring with minimal punch output, building the confusion, taking him apart from the inside out. Then attacking so cleanly in bunches when he was blinded by it all.
Successful mission for Lomanchenko- showcased his ability, made sure his performance didn’t let his career momentum drop. Amazing how some people can keep hitting these marks.
Tough night for Crolla, I mean, what could he really do once Loma got that ball rolling?
Impressive stuff.

There was a reason that Lomachenko was a 100-1 favorite. Some books had him as high as 200-1.

Unfortunately the lightweight division isn't stocked with great talent. Does anyone truly feel that Commey poses a threat beyond 1 miracle shot?

I still feel that Garcia will never return to 135. He'll drop to 140 for a while and eventually set his eyes on seeking some form of vindication as a welterweight.

If you want to see Lomachenko in a big bout, he needs to drop to 130.

He said 135 was the ceiling..

He knows 130 has the bigger bouts and I think we will see him return there. Instead of someone coming up to 135, he'll drop down.

130 is his best weight IMO, he's doing well at 135 though.

I agree. And Crolla's corner could have stopped it between rounds too, and so could the ring doctor. I hope Crolla is OK now.

Oregami! But not the oregami in Blade Runner is it? - unless it's in the 2017 "sequel" which I have no interest in seeing.

Replicant - Wikipedia
A replicant is a fictional bioengineered android in the 1982 film Blade Runner, in its 2017 sequel Blade Runner 2049. The Nexus-series of replicants are virtually identical to adult humans but have superior strength, speed, agility, resilience, and intelligence, to varying degrees depending on the model.
