I thought Munguia is gonna get the job done but maybe he's overtrained due to the fact he's fighting too often or his trainer isn't good enough. I won't be surprised to see Munguia wanting to cash in vs GGG. Or maybe he needs to change his trainer (Eddy Reynoso ?) and fight no more than three times per year.

He will be, unless he really believes he can win.
You fight for money and sometimes the bigger money is in those fights even you don't believe deep down that you will win.

Often its more down to the promoters and trainers than the boxers themselves who have greater experience in these matters.
It would be unethical of them to put their fighter into a situation where they know he has next to no chance. The real trick in matchmaking is to get your fighter to big money fights they might actually be able to win but sometimes the temptation to money grab is just too great. Far, far better than leaving the sport empty handed.

As Anthony Crolla likes to repeat, 'Boxing loves no one'.

Yarde v Kovalev is another one currently touted as a cash in. Its definitely a huge step up but I wouldn't be surprised if Anthony Yarde really believes he can beat Kovalev.

The problem is that hardly anyone else does.

Please re-watch Munguia's last fight. Atm he is going in full damage control - I need to cash in mode! If a guy like Hogan pretty much beat Munguia what it would do guys like Hurd, Harrison, Brook, Lara, Castano or even Jermell do to him ?

Losing against GGG or Canelo for bigger money is not the same as losing against Hurd or Harrison. Bottom line is Munguia is very limited as a fighter. He needs a top trainer.
