Bare knuckle Boxing is back for the first time in over a century, You got a thing called "Mukbanging" where people just gorge themselves on food to an absurd manner, and people watch this sh*t on the internet?

You have all sorts of lewd and depraved pornography now the likes of which couldn't have even been imagined at one time.

Yes indeed, more and more like Rome all the time.
Interesting points. There is a lot of depraved porno out there, that's for sure. MMA, at least in the USA the way it is now, would have been unthinkable decades ago. A boxing ban seemed more likely frankly.

Violence is time honored, but "People are crazy, and times are strange," as Bobby Z says.

jamamb wrote: 15 Apr 2019, 11:53 ya, how many times have you seen that among male world champs? or the 15-0(0) girl from canada? or an arguable p4p #1 with 8 stoppages in 40 fights? heck,, even sven ottke had some ktfos

there is simply very little firepower in womens boxing
Let's not forget, Shields HAS BEEN dropped though. Was it her 2nd bout? Can't remember. :yay:

And then the "transgenders" will invade female boxing as they already have MMA ("Transgender MMA Fighter Fallon Fox beat her female opponent Tamika Brents so severely that she suffered a broken skull") . They are now destroying legitimate amateur womens sports as they force women to compete against deranged men. Female boxing, another symptom of a very sick and decadent society.
I won't attempt to argue with you Ilya as this purely a matter of personal opinion and you are entitled to yours.

The only thing I will say is the women are also entitled to their opinion and also to make their own minds up about women boxing and (should they so desire) their own participation in it. As for the trans-gender issue, that's a separate question and one that could use a thread of its own.

first off illya wasnt having a double standard related to ronda rousey, i dont know what you were trying to do with that.

second off one of the key reasons womens boxing struggles to attract fans is precisely becasue there is very little firepower to go with the skill. its not bashing claressa shields, brakhus, katie taylor etc skill or saying there trash, but there just is not the same entertainment in fights, and the divisions are extremely shallow so interesting matches are limited. how many male world champs have never scored a single knockdown? they should really think about extending the rounds to 3 mins

holly holm ktfo rousey with her foot to the head
If it's all because of KO power then why didn't Lucija Rijker take off? She had over an 80% KO percentage.

lucia was in hollywood movies and stuff wasnt she? its a factor, its not the be all end all, but it matters to its popularity. if a fight gets shown on showtime and its really fun and has big moments, it makes more of an impact

you mentioned rousey---a big part of rousey was her fights were pure explosive and fun, not decision after decision after decision without any fireworks

they should try the 3 minute rounds for sure. im not against women boxing, they can have some nice skills, but its just not fan friendly at all

Maybe we shouldn't get into that here on a boxing forum, but it will happen in womens boxing sooner rather than later. As you can see it has already happened in the mma with the predictable dire consequences, and it has already happened all over female amateur sports, and, in reverse, I see there is already a deranged female that has had her body surgically altered and has been taking enough male hormones to grow a beard ,fighting as a male much to the delighted approval of the US media. It reportedly won its first pro boxing match, tho i don't see it's name on Boxrec. It goes from weird to weirder. Keeping up with the times they call it. No thanks.
