Only people who'd genuinely turn it down are those who think they wouldn't pass a drug test or medical and those contractually obliged in some way. I reckon anybody else says yes.lefthook82 wrote: ↑19 Apr 2019, 10:13 I'm amazed anybody would turn down the money that would be on offer.
Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?

People should be queuing up, life changing money, money which they won't earn anywhere else, and most of the division is so bad that there won't be the opportunity again

Usyk would be in a win win situation but there is no chance Joshua's team would allow it as its a no win situation for them. beat Usyk in good fashion and people will say it was expected, beat him and Usyk puts in a good performance they will say Joshua got exposed, lose to him and the so called best in the division lost to a cruiser. There is no chance this fight would happen unfortunately

Agreed it won’t happen. But love the fight hope it happens in the near future. Also as Usyk is with matchroom I would imagine they’ll want to build the fight then milk it later on as opposed to throw Usyk in now.smiling assassin wrote: ↑19 Apr 2019, 11:27 Usyk would be in a win win situation but there is no chance Joshua's team would allow it as its a no win situation for them. beat Usyk in good fashion and people will say it was expected, beat him and Usyk puts in a good performance they will say Joshua got exposed, lose to him and the so called best in the division lost to a cruiser. Eddie Hearn says opponent will be named next week. So im guessing someone has now taken the fight.

Whyte would be a strange one. Turns it down before because he’s not getting enough money etc, now he suddenly takes similar money with a shorter prep time? Unlikely
Ortiz and Pulev would be decent. The rest on that list would be massively underwhelming and also not really worth tuning in for.

Pulev has that severe cut, so I doubt it would be him, and thank God! Pulev is a snorer. Seems to me that Hearn needs to make Ortiz happen.lillywhite14 wrote: ↑19 Apr 2019, 12:44 Whyte would be a strange one. Hearn can make it happen if Ortiz & his team stop dilly dallying
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
most replacements are going to be a better fight than Miller

Hunter and Kowanacki are decent guys but in a contest against AJ it's got the feel of a public execution.

The HW division has clearly messed itself up. 2019 is the biggest anti-climax I can remember in the sport.
The deal that Fury got...does that give him immunity to failed drug tests? It must do.

I think with Fury, he failed a drug test but it never played our. Then because he had time out they just backdated the ban

Rumour is PBC/Haymon blocking Ortiz from taking the fight.

It'll be Michael Hunter.
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
If Andy Ruiz has an easy night tonight, I wouldn't rule him out.
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
They'd be best just throwing Whyte some extra cash and bringing him over.
Do they really think fighting an obscure American opponent such as Bryan or Hunter is going to bring in any extra business?
Whyte makes most sense now.
