Timothy Bradley: I'd come back for Khan or Spence
ESPN: NEW YORK -- Former two-division world titleholder Timothy Bradley Jr., who retired in 2017 after a 12-year pro career, said he would consider a making a comeback if he could get either of two fights he is interested in.
"I would come back for an Amir Khan fight and I would come back for an Errol Spence fight," Bradley told ESPN on Thursday.
My first reaction is Bradley should stay retired. While I can see a Khan fight being competitive, Spence would blather him. I don't see the added value of his return.

Why Khan?
Khan was around all the time he was and was largely idle too, so why not chase him then?
Spence, yes I can understand, although Errol would comfortably outclass him at best and marmalise him at worst.

I know, right!? Khan can always be ko'd, but I suspect after a layoff, Khan would be able to use his speed and avoid that vs Bradley.Syntax Error wrote: ↑19 Apr 2019, 12:04 Why Khan?![]()

No. Stay retired.
Spence would stop you. And Khan would out quick you.
Doesn't your ESPN gig pay enough?

Yeh. When Khan was chasing him, Bradley avoided him and fought Pac insteadSyntax Error wrote: ↑19 Apr 2019, 12:04 Why Khan?![]()

Can you blame him?Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑19 Apr 2019, 12:30 Yeh. When Khan was chasing him, Bradley avoided him and fought Pac instead
I'm sure that the Pacquiao paycheck was quite a bit heftier than the one Bradley would have earned against Khan.

That’s fine. Khan has not fought Brook for that same reason. He knows the fight will always be there, he fought Canelo for a nice payday and now he’s fighting Crawford for a min $5m.SenorPipino wrote: ↑19 Apr 2019, 12:37 Can you blame him?

Boxers fight for money, secure their futures.
Obviously it worked out even better for Bradley as he ‘won’ the first fight, made a defence then fought Pac a second time, probably earning even more.
The third fight was just not needed.

Bradley said at the last PAC fight weigh in Khan was talking shit and telling him to be a man and fight him. I like that fight. Spence wouldn't go well for him.Syntax Error wrote: ↑19 Apr 2019, 12:04 Why Khan?![]()

Khan would comfortably beat Bradley now.
Bradley is a non puncher boxer and he would have struggled with Khan at his best.
At 37 and rusty, he'd be a sitting duck for Khan now.

Fair points. But that chin of Khan's always plays into it for me.Syntax Error wrote: ↑19 Apr 2019, 12:56 Khan would comfortably beat Bradley now.

That makes sense as it just seemed odd he'd bring up Khan who hasn't been a champ for 7 years and never been a 147 kingpin, allied to being largely idle.

Re: Timothy Bradley: I'd come back for Khan or Spence
The question would be could an aging, inactive Bradley get to Khan's chin?
And Bradley has never been much of a puncher anyways.
I see Khan boxing circles around a frozen, rusted Bradley.
Unless Khan is far further past his prime than we think.
And Spence? That would be manslaughter.

yeah, no chance with Spence. Blathering.SenorPipino wrote: ↑19 Apr 2019, 15:41 The question would be could an aging, inactive Bradley get to Khan's chin?
