Michael Hunter to be confirmed on Tuesday

Post by oogiebe »

Multiple reports are that Michael Hunter will be confirmed on Tuesday to be facing Anthony Joshua as Miller's replacement.

I actually feel bad for AJ. This is certainly a big falloff from Miller and even Ortiz. I'm wondering if it'll be on TV rather than PPV in light of the competition.

Would rather see Chisora if Dillian said no.

Both shite. Joshua knocks them both out ASAP. Worst thing is, both are better than Hunter,

So shit

Think a few of us feel like that right now.

Still, I'll be watching Allen v Browne later.
At least one of them is definitely clean, and I hope he wins.

Why not? I'd say, Hunter will whip Fat Baby, he will be a more difficult opponent for Joshua.

Hunter is what Gil Clancy used to call a cutie. he may give Joshua trouble. Not with power but with hanging in there.

Good for Hunter I guess.

Thanks to the stupidity of some other boxer a great opportunity just fell into his lap.
He's probably going to get a solid payday for the fight and if he represents himself well in defeat it will be great for his career going forward regardless of picking up another loss.

The choice won't go over well.

He was a cruiserweight until last year.

Usyk can get away with it. But not a guy who lost to Usyk.

How did Hunter get so big so fast?

Any word on why Ortiz officially turned down the fight?

Hunter won't draw mosquitos in June.

Based on his physique, I'm thinking he funneled money to McDonald's and/or Burger King to help increase his body mass.

Yes, and it shouldn't derail the AJ / Wilder showdown that everyone in the world wants.

Good choice.

He's American like Hearn wants.

Physically, he doesn't look like he juices. So he'd be dependable.

Dawjeko hasn't been real successful lately but it's just a showcase bout for Joshua so competitiveness isn't important.

It would be kinda like Frazier-Stander. But with the challenger facing a major height handicap this time.

No they don't. Hunter is extremely skilled boxer for heavyweight division. Year, Joshua vs Ortiz would be better replacement but Hunter fight is defenitely bigger intrigue then other one-sided beatdown of Whyte or annihilation of Chisora. Anthony had never met fighter this such slick style as Hunter and it's unteresting to how he will handle that

Ah well.
We all had to suffer through opponents like this during both Klitchco brothers reign.
It could be worse. Given who AJ has consecutively fought, one push over once in a while dosent bother me- just don't expect me to pay for it :shame:

Hunter isn't critically small and can box against big fellas. He has already proved that.
