Hunter is terrible for this. Absolute clusterfvck
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
The only American HW who is marginally known in the US is Wilder. Ironically, Miller is probably more well known in light of his dirty tests. LMAO!
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
Ortiz is more known than Hunter by a country mile.

I like Hunter, but this would be a terrible matchup for him, he’s going to get a severe beating unfortunately. Total mismatch.

Charr's manager says they have been in London negotiating for the last two days.
PPV will totally tank. I cannot see any angle to sell it.

Yeah it’s going to be an extremely hard sell, Matchroom could well take a loss on this show imo. Gate will be relatively small due the venue, and can’t see PPV sales being at all good.

Luis Ortis. But Hunter will be OK too (my second choice)black panther wrote: ↑17 Apr 2019, 13:29 If Miller is definitely out of the AJ fight, bearing in mind Wilder & Fury already have fights scheduled, who would you prefer to see opposite Joshua on June 1st?

Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
it staggers me that people wouldn't want to see the Whyte rematch next
Dillian is a genuine contender and has fought his way there following the Joshua loss
Ortiz hasn't done much at all since wobbling Wilder and has looked slow and boring since.
theres maybe some kind of AJ-fan bias at work here.
with the kind of bombs being thrown I reckon an AJ v Whyte rematch is 50/50 maybe that's why no one wants to see it

Gone for Joyce because Kuzmin's not there, and I think Ortiz is too slow to do anything these days. Unless Joshua just stands in front of him looking confused by his southpaw guard, but I can't see it.
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
Ortiz would be a good replacement but would want massive money to step in at this late stage.
Whyte rematch is inevitable, but not 1st June.
Wilder and Fury are out of the equation.
Charr has a poor man's version of a belt Joshua already has, and precious little else to offer.
Pulev has a cut and a few legal issues at the moment. Though I expect he probably will fight AJ in the UK later this year or early next year.
Hunter is being heavily linked with this fight and I can see why. He will take it cheap and his lack of notoriety is irrelevant as this fight is being sold on Joshua's name.
More than half the tickets sold have been to travelling UK fans, many of whom will still travel regardless of Joshua's opponent. So forking out for an Ortiz or Whyte wouldn't make much sense at this stage.

Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
The only fighters who would be highly regarded are Fury, Wilder and Usyk.
A level below would be Whyte, Pulev and Ortiz.
If your not going to take one of those it's better taking on a well known local bigmouth who is cheap and lose spectacularly.
Step up Chris Arrolea!
Hunter would be a horrible fight to watch, good fighter, awkward, smaller, AJ would get to him but not look good in doing so..

I'm convinced that Usyk at 95-100kg bodyweight would school Joshua.
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
it would be interesting, he have good jab + movement and stamina for days, but he does get hit and i think hed get caught enough to eventually be stopped or forced into enough of a shell where hes outpointed
