You are correct. A and B are drawn at the same time. The B sample is used as 'backup' for verification. Vada had a second sample from a different draw date and it tested positive for the HGH. I didn't know about Canelo's case. Wasn't his banned substance the same on both tests?

Second test, second offence, as far as I know. Which will most likely be a second case- that will draw it out even if the two offences are served concurrently.
Yes, these should be treated as his second and third test failures (after the kickboxing one) not just lumped together as one failure. It’s not multiple substances from one test.

Kidney and liver damage is probably the worst behind eye and brain damage. Hearing loss probably after kidneys.

He's only sorry because he got caught. He's facing up to it now, after going into full denial mode after the first failed test.

F*** him.

Like I've said before, I'm sure a lot of doped boxers think their opponents are cheating because they're using different PEDs, with exclusive advantages over their own.

I've long been in two minds about legalisation, but I've tipped over now: I think they should be. If PEDs were normalised it'd soon be like a runner talking about their favourite shoes, and with all of that medical data out in the open, we could see over time what was harmful versus what wasn't (or much less so). It might be that drugs that currently appear safe aren't, and vice versa.

Think of all the wrestlers and strongmen who've died in middle-age, and how — because those around them protested their innocence — we've been unable to compile any kind of database for the greater good.

And if Miller were suddenly allowed to fight Joshua anyway, c'mon now — we all know it'd be a ‘fair’ fight.

While I understand your view on this, I just cannot condone enhancements use in sports. And more importantly that kind of thinking will trickle down to the youth who participate in organized sports. Very dangerous route in my very strong opinion.

Then you need to go the other way and enforce passporting as soon as boxers turn pro, not just for those who become prominent. Who's gonna pay for it?

I hear you. It's a predicament and I have no answer to it. With all the millions if not billions generated by the industry one would think that IF a resolution were wanted it would've been found.

If I were running a sanctioning body, I would purchase a series of testing facilities to ease the burden of cost and establish a better way for testing that fits all. It would certainly be a decent PR stunt.

Larry Olubamiwo was posting on forums about how to source steroids, everyone with half a brain could take one look at him and see he was using, yet it still took an age for him to get done. They even had his photo front and centre on this website from time to time.

People are so shit scared of litigation they choose to ignore what is obvious.

Also, people making money out of the sport e.g. promoters, don't give a fucj providing it doesn't hold back their earnings.

I completely understand what you are saying mate + you make a good argument for legalisation - I also think the use of TUEs has totally tilted boxing (the legal way of gaining an advantage)

an unfortunate but needed solution might be:

1. you remove all drug testing from boxing
2. the money used for drug testing entities (VADA, WADA, UKAD, USADA) - is added to boxers purse
