That guy who beat Terry Norris twice on DQ springs to mind, think that was punches after the bell though.

Has a guy in living memory quit because he got hit in the balls? Schmeling did, but that was a ripping shot right in the sack, which Khan's certainly wasn't.

I remember Nicky Piper getting irritated by John Ruiz overplaying low blows, saying 'they hurt, but they don't hurt that much.' David Tua got whacked square in the cup by a 6'5'', 250lb Lennox Lewis and didn't even blink!

Khan must be the first fighter ever to quit because he got hit on the thigh.

Hatton landed a doozy of a low blow on Tszyu, who took a bit of a rest but nothing major and carried on.

I hate calling fighters quitters and always try to give them the benefit but the reality is he quit and nothing will change my mind, at least Brook's face was smashed to bits before folding against Spence
He really is a total div, he is making himself look a total fool, he isn't even clever enough to come up with a decent excuse.

Misheard the question - it was as clear as day - and anyway, surely he could have just said "Hang on, no there's been a mistake, I thought he asked if I wanted him to massage my bollocks better."

The fact you have to go that far back, kind of illustrates the point.

He or rather his trainer was looking for a snide dq victory and to be fair i've seen them given.

Thankfully the ref saw through it and the right decision was made.

This type of ending took away all the positives I had for Khan. A lot of posters and I stated that:

He's always a good watch
Always comes to fight
Etc.

Now? He's done. A shot to the hipbone and he quit. Didn't even wait five minutes of rest time. You could see the relief when the ref called it off.

To be fair, that wasn't the hipbone, it was an uppercut to the inner thigh,

You need to remember that the protector is pretty big, so any shot that hits it, is also going to cause an impact to your balls.

Either way though, Khan wanted out.

I get the impression he regrets pulling out now, but at the time his intincts for self preservation kicked in - that's totally understandable, as he was getting chewed up out there, and it was only going to get worse, but he needs to man up and just admit that he wanted out instead of making himself look a lying hypocrite.

Reminds me of the man who had been an accomplished bridge painter all his life, but when he sucked one cock that's all people remembered him for.

It's a shame really because Khan is a warrior, just made a bad call last night.

point is that it wasn't a direct shot and while he says he's never been hit low before, I highly doubt it. Whether in sparring or bouts, or even playing football, I'm sure he's had his bell rung and knew what he was up against. He wanted out. He was done. Very disappointing.

Mike Tyson gained some respect from me when he stood in there and took his beating from LL. Khan avoided a beating rather than go out on his shield. A lifeteime's work on his rep was tarnished last night. Tarnished, not lost.

Just a case of another very good fighter who is at the tail end of a good career. The fire has dwindled and so has his desire to front out adversity.

He has been in plenty of entertaining fights against top opposition and has earned well. Time to call it a day and rest on his laurels.

I’ve only just got to see it now, my illegal source of watching it for free failed last night, terrible I know but I’ve got over it, someone has kindly put it up on YouTube. To me it looked like he wanted out, unless his balls are attached to the top of his thigh he didn’t get hit in the nuts.

I've been doubting Khan's desire to box for a few years.
While he used to have heart. I think last night proved now he is just a celebrity and no longer a serious fighter.
