Ive been impressed with what ive seen of Farooq so far he look quality, fluid, relaxed, great upper body movement and a n excellent combination puncher, destroyed Wilson in a round to win the British then schooled Butcher last time out, still early days of course but he's another good Scottish talent
Never heard of Williams before but noticed he's unbeaten as well and won a split over Essomba recently, looking forward to this

The undercard to be shown on the BBC sport Scotland website and the BBC sport app from 10pm.
Boris Crighton and Nathaniel Collins are on the undercard and I believe Alex Arthur will be part of the commentary team

Great stuff!
Re: British title fight live on BBC
I approve of Farooq for one simple reason - he defends his title regularly. Good on him, and hope he keeps up this level of activity.

Posted about Ukashir a while back.
He looks class; excellent head movement and throws a lot of punches. Hope he gets the coverage his talent merits.

Re: British title fight live on BBC
Looked good again Farooq, he was made to work for the win though, Williams was game until the end, got right in Farooq's face and landed some good shots of his own, a lot of his work was ignored by commentary, Farooq was the better man though, the KO was a similar shot to the one he put Williams down with in the 2nd, slipped the left then came over with the right, big shot to finish Williams
Loved the movement and bodywork of Farooq, made a clear plan to target the body and break Williams down, although Williams was trying to fight it out with Farooq and land the occasional shot he was looking more and more ragged before getting caught for the stoppage

Williams was really game but impressive again from Farooq, like the look of this kid. Picks his shots very well & always looked as though he was going to get to Williams as the fight wore on. Nice to see boxing back on the BBC.

Decent performance from Farooq he could go beyond domestic level. Don’t like all the sports club bullsh1t though never been a fan. Rob McLean is no boxing commentator either.

Handsofstone summary got it exactly.
Farooq is real quality.Commentary was a bit one sided, Williams got very little praise. I'm a Unionist, but now my English friends might get a touch of what it feels like to be on the wrong end of biased commentating.

Really impressed with Farooq again. As Arthur says, he seems to really be improving fight by fight. Excellent balance and shot selection. The way he was finding the angles to land the body shots then switching upstairs was impressive for someone of his age. I have the feeling he has a few more gears to go up and will no doubt continue to improve. Williams was confident and game but a little wild. He'll deffo come again. Seems a nice lad as well.
Hopefully Farooq v McGregor can happen within the next 12 months.
