WHAT WILL KHAN DO NEXT?

Post by overhand_right »

I'm guessing he won't dare mention Mayweather's name ever again.

I can't see him wanting to risk a KO by Brook no matter how much they pay him.

Crawford's out the window, these Spence, Garcia, Thurman types are all far too dangerous for him.

Bow out in the UK versus Manny Pac, or in a novelty fight with Adrien Broner? Either would qualify as an 'Event', and I suppose he will just have to hope and pray they don't land one on him and ruin his going away party.

He's had a really good career and done things 99 percent of people never will..

I remember after the Silver Medal then beating Kindelan in a re match who was a 3 time world champion and 2 times Olympic gold medalist alot of people were billing him as the 2nd coming or SRL never worked out though like that.
What stopped him? Apart from prescott

Only the Brook fight would sell. He's no other option. Even a Pac fight is a bust.

He won't be on his webcam for a while, I know that.

Hopefully consult a doctor as to why his cock is hanging from his right thigh rather than his scrotum.

Pacquiao will knock him out. He might be passed it but he can still bang enough to send Khan to sleep.

Brits would turn out to see the Pacman, surely?

I think he‘ll call it a day. He doesn’t need the coin and I don’t know if he really has the motivation if he’s not going against the top guys.

Not sure what he has to prove, clearly his ability to take a shot has steadily diminished - I am sure financially is set time to mention the R word!

I think he will retire.
He has had a glorious career all things considered and I don’t think he really wants it anymore. I thought he looked softer on the scales than usual and perhaps just doesn’t have the desire or ability to grit it out anymore.
I have enjoyed his career immensely.

He won't retire. I wouldn't be shocked if he went back to 40 and fought burns to get a shot at Taylor if he wins the wbss.

He has no need to retire. As you point out, he has more money to make. He's still better than most of the fighters out there. Just can't play with the big boys.

Khan probably isn't ready to pack it in just yet.
He is still a very good second tier WW.
Pac Khan would be interesting.
Porter would probably take a fight if the money was right, and that would be entertaining for 5-6 rounds.

He has no reason to retire. Just stay away from the top guys until he's ready to have his last fight. He is still competitive with most of the fighters in the division.

He should retire. Kid hasn't got the balls to tough it out anymore. It was a stiff right hand that decked him and he took some good shots after that, then the low blow, fair enough there is pain but he should have continued and Virgil seemed already of a mind to pull him out .. but that is not it, he cannot change or learn..he makes the same mistakes again and again, every fight and the better fighters know how to capitalise on them so you gotta question why he would want to continue if he is financially secure.

It should be retirement. If he wants a further pay day he could shout Brook out and that could happen after a bit of Sky's usual propaganda! Personally I don't want to see that now and I certainly wouldn't buy it!

I read somewhere Khan is going to plant a vegetable garden and build a fish pond.

I am still interested in Khan v Brook. Khan was losing every round but he was still there. He had some of his best success in the second half of the 5th.

Can’t believe that some people think that he should have won by DQ. :brick:

Khan will do what Khan does best.
Beat a no hope fighter. Then con the public to believe he's back
He'll talk himself in to another ppv fight just to lose again

Im hoping that after a few weeks or so of enjoying holidays and family time, he will do the right thing
for his health and pack it in.

I don’t believe he will though, especially if Eddie comes waving a cheque for at least 7 figures.

Also, If I’m not mistaken, there didn’t seem to be any sign of his father or even his brother around during fight week...if that’s the case, who is helping to guide this guy?

The speed and reflexes are on the wane now. With a chin like his, the right thing to do would retire. But I guess the Brook fight will happen next. Cash out fight for them both.

Just thinking domestically, apart from Brook there are plenty of decent money fights for him, Liam Smith, Josh and Kelly, Luke Campbell Even Ted Cheeseman!
And at least half of those fights he could still win.
