I'd prefer Charr to Ruiz.

Sounds more of an opinion against Ruiz rather than one for Charr. :maybe:

I'd rather see a devastating early ko than Josh beat on a fat light heavyweight til he's left in his corner. Neither will win a round and Charr is more likely to show up. Also would get rid of a third wba belt.

The last point is a good one!

All of them are. Personally, I'll at least watch Charr. I wouldn't watch Ruiz.

Charr will actually show up to fight. I’d rather see Wallin get it than Ruiz—at least he’s tall, has a decent jab, and has sparred with AJ. That at least adds a wrinkle of interest however slight.

If Hunter beats Joshua or even gets close then Usyk can already be considered the de facto heavyweight champ.

You really love jumping the gun! If it were up to you no one would fight. Just dish out the wins.

Oh I see. No I wouldn't pass a royal decree declaring Usyk heavyweight champ if Hunter beats or ties Joshua. There is still Fury and Wilder....

It won't be Wallin. It won't be Charr.

Hearn has made it clear that the opponent has to be American or America based.

Get set for Ruiz or Hunter.

Dazn is backed by one of the richest people in the world. That is where the money comes from

Yes, the us market is losing money but do other markets lose money?

I'm not saying the company will fold, this American operation definitely will. They can't possibly make money and they'll lose a billion in 3 years, maybe sooner.

Wallin is now based out of NYC, though I’m sure having his US debut spoiled by a cut doesn’t help. He makes sense for AJ and is higher ranked than Hunter.

Ortiz is the one they need the most. He has name recognition in the US from his fight with Wilder. But he's been allegedly been promised a rematch with Wilder so he'll sit it out.

Hunter is American but has no name recognition. I think he becomes the 'last resort' for Hearn and AJ.

Ruiz is another no name in Amercan Boxing circles, but at least has a close fought decision loss with Joseph Parker. I hope not.

Charr has the WBA regular belt, so there's the allure of bright and shiny things

Trevor Bryan has nothing to offer as an opponent other than a warm body.

I actually forget the sixth guy on the 'short list.' Oh yeah, Agit Kabayel. I'm sure he'll add about 10 views from friends and family.

He'd give wilder or fury problems but Joshua has too much of a combo of size, skills, power and activity. The other two lack in at least one department. Still it's as good as you could hope for.
Why do you think he'd give Fury problems?

I really applaud Hunter for stepping up and taking this fight.

He’s got cojones.

Rooting for him.

Dubois just came out and said he'd take the fight on seven week notice! I guess he knows his handlers wouldn't allow it.

Fury doesn't have much pop and doesn't throw many punches.

Ortiz's team just released an official statement declining the fight. Leaving five less than exciting possibilities.
