Time to use the Joe Gallagher tactic of high guard and absorb punishment from the outside - after 3 rounds Allen will throw that looping right connecting on the scouser!

Re: David Allen where next?
He said it, but it was based on what ifs, if he beat say Price and then Parker or Povetkin, he did say he didn’t think he’d get past a Parker or Povetkin though. He looked in good shape to be fair, takes way to many shots though to get past the top boys IMO,
Re: David Allen where next?
Yeah, the top boys would tear through him

Charr must have an excellent PR team, fella hasn't boxed in 513 days but is still a name

Re: David Allen where next?

Because we never learn
Re: David Allen where next?
I never doubted an Allen victory. He won it better than I thought however as I predicted a points win. After Browne's trouble with Kamil Soko it was never in doubt.
Even during the MCs announcement Browne didn't look like a boxer who had the confidence or interest to win. Also 40 years old can't help matters.

Does Lucas Browne wear makeup?
Not really relevant but he has a bit of an eyeliner look most of the time.

I'd like to see this run continue and Allen to stay motivated. Price next I think that's one of the more interesting matxhups at heavyweight. Then Mabey char for a communal "world title". If he Beats them he kinda has to fight Someone ranked or a name/ex name. Or skip that and fill in vs aj in June haha
Re: David Allen where next?
I really like following the career of David Allen.. I am a fan and would love the price fight
Re: David Allen where next?
wouldnt surprise me. i notice these super heavily tatooed guys are also into nail polish sometimes. maybe he painted his toes and redid his eyeliner after getting knocked outleejonesjnr wrote: ↑23 Apr 2019, 12:04 Does Lucas Browne wear makeup?

Re: David Allen where next?
He'll get Price next and beat him too. I just hope he doesn't get grand illusions about competing on the world stage.
Re: David Allen where next?
He just beat an ex World champion. Let him have a shot at the EBU title, Chisora and Price wouldn't be a bad scrap either.
Re: David Allen where next?
LOL Ex world champion! EBU would be fine when he gets past Price. He deserves a decent payday. I'd just like to see him after a few more fights with proper training camps and see what he is really all about before making any drastic moves.

Re: David Allen where next?
David Allen needs very careful match making. Price is a winnable fight because the scouser has issues with stamina and punch resistance. According to BoxRec, Dave is ranked #22 in the world and I would pick every single one of the 21 guys above to beat him if they fought. I'd even pick Helenius who is carrying numerous injuries. Almost all of the guys in the top 50 beat him, so the matchmaking needs to be risk vs reward. Anyone with a name of a decent title. Price or Briggs, then Charr for me. Another fight I like for him is Adamek, who would bring in a load of Polish fans, especially in London.
I'm really enjoying Dave Allen's journey, but it ain't gonna last too long.
