Exactly. I get that he's not pretty to look at for the casuals mind.

Can't deny he's been effective. This fight should show us if he's for real or not. For both of them.

I can see Dubois landing his straight punches inside Joyce's wide swings. I'm just uncertain if that's enough as Joyce does appear to take a good pop. Or if Dubois can take a pop at all, as we've never seen it yet. I'm 50/50. Probably my third change! lol!

I don't think that I would be shocked it Dubois wins, but I see it more as a 70-30 JJ than a 50-50.
That could just be because I happen to have seen a lot more of Joyce?
I imagine that David Haye is raging after he really started Joyce on the pro road and not content with jumping ship, he has now teamed up with Adam Booth.

I like JJ going to Booth. Sanchez wasn't helping him progress. That come forward style was bound to get him into trouble sooner or later. I hope he gets his defense better. He should learn how Foreman used his arms to thwart an opponents punches. I think it would suit Joyce well.

I'm really surprised the fight has been made. I didn't think Dubois's management would take him off the leash so soon, so fair play to all concerned. Terrific fight !

Joyce's manager has said it's still far from certain this fight will happen in 2019, saw it on IFL before. Really hope it does get made though, would make a change!

FW said he put Grvoves v Degale on for the British and it boosted rather than put back their careers.
However with Joyce v Dubois one will get knocked out(I think Dubois) and it would damage the losers career, maybe even end it.

groves and degale were both youngings, joyce if he loses its gonna be much harder to rebuild. plus who would even want to use a 7-1 guy as a stepping stone?

Dubois could lose and still have a great career. He's only 21. Joyce would have a hard time coming back from a loss.

At 21, if he gets caught cold? He can come back. If he loses a tough decision? He can come back. All points in between, Dubois can come back. Same can't be said for Joyce at 33.

Joyce vs Kabayel and Dubois vs Gorman is a nice couple of matches leading up to DDD vs Joyce. I like it. Hope it all happens.

Top 15? Depending on the top 15 you're going by, I could only see it being Hammer, Martin, Szpilka, Oquendo, Wallin, Fujimoto, Dinu or Zhang. Or, what's more likely, it won't be a top 15 opponent...

Anyone else have any thoughts?
