Oh yeah, AJ wins this fight, but Whyte said no too and has taken absolutely no flack like Ortiz is. No one is mentioning that.
I give Whyte flack for it. I thought he completely embarrassed himself when Miller was out of it and he started calling for it! No Dillian, you had already turned down £5m for a shot at becoming unified heavyweight world champion...

i give ortiz some flack because him and his ppl/fans have gone on endlessly for years about being ducked, its been his whole scthick, and so if he turns down 5m or whatever is offered on top of that he can go f@ck himself
Yeah I'm getting that impression. Ortiz is the best of the rest for a long time. Doesn't say he has a shot at AJ, cause he doesn't. This is all negotiating tactics. If not, Ortiz is the biggest clown out there.

Apparently a counteroffer is expected from Hearn. So it's not over yet. Still can't get over Ortiz turning down $5 million, but this is a better fight with Ortiz.
It's a definite no from Ortiz' people according to my cotnact at Matchroom and he also tells me DAZN prefer Ruiz to Hunter.

what does your contact due at matchroom, why do reporters who have contacts there to say its still in talks

He's a mate and hetold me in confidence, so that's all you get. That's what I've been told., if he fights Ortiz you can call me fibber.
I wonder if ticket sales and PPV's are at a standstill waiting to hear who the opponent is.

Got to be , I really can't see who the rabbit they are going to pull out of the hat is going to be , Ortiz is crazy if 5 mil is true .
We don't know if he's crazy yet. But I wish this would settle already. If it's Ortiz, I watch, if not, I don't. Reports say Hearn is making a counter offer and a poster with an inside guy at Matchroom says it won't be Ortiz. Can't get more up in the air then we already are.

The more time passes by the more I think Trevor Bryan will be the opponent.
That works for me. I already know Ruiz sucks and while I like hunter I don't see what he offers aj. At least Bryan has a bit of the unknown about him and cleans up a shit wba belt.

Always liked Ortiz but he's showing a real s**thouse streak, turning down very good pay & the chance to fight for a very prestigious title

,,,,,,and if he wins, he becomes Buster Douglas at the top of the tree with massive offers coming in left right and centre.

Exactly. It's rumoured he's well in to his 40s as well so I doubt he'll get many (if any) more opportunities to make that amount! Knob head!

Exactly!
One excellent payday, and if he wins, a bloody good retirement package worthy of a top banker

Does Ortiz actually have the freedom to agree to the fight or is he owned and chained by the ankles by PBC?
