Don King To Hearn: Trevor Bryan is Ready To Face Joshua
Re: Don King To Hearn: Trevor Bryan is Ready To Face Joshua
Neither Bryan nor Charr deserve to fight Joshua until they have fought both each other and Joyce to clear up the WBA's minor belt situation before ultimately unifying. Other than their pointless belts, they're both irrelevant in the heavyweight scene.

If we did (all fight Joshua) we might stand a chance, but not individually.Ilya Muromets wrote: ↑24 Apr 2019, 18:10 Hey get in line! We can't all fight Joshua. I'm in line right behind Bryan and Blow.
Trevor Bryan FFS. Who has he fought that might suggest he'd be capable of lasting out the first round ?

I'm pretty sure qualifications or performance are all that important.
And Bryan fits the bill. He's American. Good sized and holds some sort of heavyweight championship belt. It could be billed as a unification bout.
And if Bryan turns out to be made of fine china, Hearn and DAZN would undoubtedly be delighted to have a first or second round blowout in Joshua's US debut.
Joshua better shine under the spotlight. Or he'll be just another big heavyweight that no one in America pays any attention to.
Re: Don King To Hearn: Trevor Bryan is Ready To Face Joshua
I remember a few years back when Bryan and Miller were stablemates and sparring partners. They were considered about the same in terms of development, ability, potential/ prospects. I know Miller has recently shat on the carpet but up until last week, the difference in progress made by the two fighters was extraordinary.
I know Miller never beat anybody who was first rate but he beat a few considered top twentyish. Who has Bryan beaten: BJ Flores, Derric Rossy and Jamal Woods. They are respectable journeymen but not even remote justification for a world title shot.
Hunter or Ruiz are way better options but if $10m would secure Ortiz (Highly doubtful but not bcoz Ortiz wouldn't want it) then that is surely the way to go.
I'm as bewildered as most by DAZN's flingimg money around like it's the end of days, and I realize it is unsustainable in the long or even medium term, but Joshua's US debut/ DAZN debut is not the time to be making economies or getting cold feet.

Every day there's a new favorite or they're on the verge of signing someone.
It would be nice if Oquendo was given the opportunity. He's waited more than half a decade.

I felt sorry for Fres until he turned down the Miller fight.SenorPipino wrote: ↑26 Apr 2019, 09:47 He's a heavy.
Fres doesn't really need to train and worry about making weight.
The sofa is the same as the gym to him.

I definitely see that, but these guys are fighters and they are aging fighters. At this late stage of the game, he could have trained his ass off, given it a college try, and hope for a miracle. If he saw the task was impossible, fighters can find a way out.tiny_acres wrote: ↑26 Apr 2019, 10:57 I'm grateful Fres turned the Miller fight down now.
Can you imagine a ped freak against a 46 year old that had not fought in 5 years?
Fres could of been seriously injured

Has Hunter been confirmed?
I'm starting to see sports books listing odds on Hunter vs Joshua.
In the ballpark of 25-1.
Joshua was only 8-1 over Miller.

If that were Wilder, we'd be getting pelted with duck calls.

Strange that the books would post a line out of the blue, unless word has leaked.
