Eddie Hearn (or any other promoter) doing an interview is not proof of anything. It's one man expressing an opinion in public knowing that the public have no way of verifying anything he is saying as fact.

As I said on another thread, well done you got something right.

However, I don't think Hearn's threats made them speak out. More like major splits in the Ortiz camp.

I think Eddie Hearn’s offer and his deadlines influenced Jay Jiminez to retract his previous claims.

I don't think they've given up on the fight yet.

They tried to squeeze more money and failed. They want to salvage the fight now.

both the trainer and manager and apparently ortiz himself wanted to take the offer, can they not take it themselves ? do they need the promoters acceptance of it?

Ortiz's team put the squeeze on and got their bluff called. Panic ensued in their camp and Jiminez, probably directed by Ortiz, are coming out to get the fight before it's too late.

I think Hunter will perform better than people assume. He's got his father in him. They're both giant killers. I'm not saying he'll win, but he'll make AJ look bad in there for a while.

Starting to look like Hunter will be the least likely of the 3. Joshua will look least impressive against the one with a bit of speed and movement.

I think they want the Ortiz fight but Ruiz is probably the most likely if that can't get that over the line.

Sounds like Ortiz is returning back into the frame.

Hunter would have been tricky to tie down, but he would have been zero threat. It'd be a case of Joshua chasing round the ring all night, which won't good for anyone.
