Joyce is so slow on the mic. Just like he is in the ring. Haha

Is anyone wondering why FWank is allegedly putting Triple D in with Joyce already ?

It's just not his style to rush.. anything
I thought Dubois vs Gorman "at the end of the year" was pretty bold from him.

It’s what he does. He always talks bout how he put DeGale vs. Groves early in ther careers and how they both went on to win a world title.

I was wondering how BTSport feel about what allegedly's been serving up for them and so maybe his hand has been forced a bit.

I’d build them a bit more first. Make it a bigger fight later on. Where exactly would the winner go next anyway? Let it play out a bit

Was good for how long it lasted. Lots of good exchanges.

Lartey gave it a go. Wasn’t being a pushover. Got too much for him in the end even though he tagged DDD clean a few times himself.

How did DD react to taking some hits?

I feel like he felt them. He got pushed back slightly but he was right there toe to toe throwing back. Some of the exchanges hardly landed clean but it was a good watch. Had Lartey had more power, DDD would have respected him more.

Fun wee fight while it lasted especially the bit when both men started slugging it out in the 2nd, Lartey was a bit eccentric, holding on fir dear life one minute then the next going bombs away, Dubois looked good though, strong jab, some terrific body shots and apart from that exchange he kept composed, lovely right hand to finish Lartey who I thought would get up, onwards and upwards

I'd love to see Dubois vs Joyce just for the hilarious bants between the pair in the pressers

Much of the feedback I've seen indicates that DD may not be ready for Joyce just yet. You think he can give it a go?

I quite like Joyce but have seen nothing to suggest he's levels above Dubois apart from maybe age and experience, technically its a pick em

I agree, but I didn't see tonight's DD bout. So in your opinion, nothing changes. Thanks!

I think we are quick to dismiss just how BIG the experience factor is - this would be very poor match making if the Joyce and Dubois fight happened this year!

Cool thanks man I'll try and check it out in the morning. Just looking at Lartey on the scales, he had a real modern day fit-heavyweight physique, like he'd put in the graft; he wasn't just a bodybuilder. I thought he should ask Dubois some questions.

I was just too drained from doing the whole UK/US fights back to back last week to be bothered with trying to catch live boxing tonight.

Joyce, Although generally a terrible talker, I can see it in him that he's the quiet guy in the group that surprises everybody by coming out with a surprisingly funny come back or two when you're not expecting it, and will handle trash talk OK.

Dubois never seems to have anything to say. I guess he has one focus and that's it.

Probably because he allowed himself to get embroiled in a firefight at one stage, they were literally stood in front of each other throwing hooks

It was reminiscent of that very first heavyweight prize fighter night.

Dubois / Joyce is a fight I'd like to see though sooner than later. It sounded in the post fight segment that Joyce was saying he could be looking at bigger things though....so we will see how that pans out.

A poor card and as someone else said it was reminiscent of an early 2000s FW show on Sky.

Chelli could be in some decent fights but I can’t see him progressing too far. Hopefully I’m wrong though.

I’m pretty bored with Jack Catterall now. Hooker’s mandatory won’t get called until September or so. Has Jack been matched well enough to go in to a world title fight (probably in the US) and expect to win? I don’t think he has. They spoke after the fight about it being a world class performance. Rubbish. He comfortably beat a massively overmatched opponent.

The Richards vs Langford fight was poor. Richards has some serious skills but needs to be more offensive. Langford doesn’t have much left.

Sunny Edwards is decent but I don’t particularly like the showboating. Another over matched opponent but at least he went for it.

I didn’t mind the Dubois fight but I don’t think it should be headlining a BT show given how infrequent their shows have been. Was this their only April show? Must only be their 3rd or 4th show of the year.

It was a decent fight. Lartey through some shots with power and it will be a decent learning fight for Dubois - he won’t be exchanging like he did in the 2nd round in his next few fights. Whilst I don’t think he should be rushed in to facing Joyce in July I really don’t think it happens. I’d certainly enjoy it if they did fight then though!
