Seems like Manuel Medina has a decentish chance of winning the IBF title... It seems like he will be facing Cassius Baloyi for the vacant title on the 31st of May.
A shot at a major title has been LONG overdue for Baloyi, having held minor world belts at Featherweight/Super Featherweight for the best part of 10 years, and against decent opposition.
However, he is coming off a comprehensive defeat at Lightweight (for the IBO belt). So not sure quite how he deserves this shot for the vacant title.

Should be quite an interesting one this. I'm sure that all world title routes for Alex Arthur would lead to the winner of this. MBA would more than likely decline a night at Meadowbank, Barrios has just proved himself once again to be a dangerous fighter, and Mosquera looks to have a decent record (also don't know whether he'd travel.)
So for me, a Medina fight would seem like glove+hand to me, although Baloyi does have a pretty good record (although granted - quite how a loss gets him a title shot is a little bit of a mystery, although stranger things have happened. Highest available and all that) And, his last loss was to Hlatshwayo, who has since gone on to beat Rios and Nate Campbell (bit of an unplanned result for Campbell's team) and is the IBF #2 at lightweight.
I'll go for Medina to sneak a decision, but not by that great a margin.

Well i hope that Baloyi wins against Medina, as Arthur may meet the winner i'd much rather it was against Baloyi , who is a good little boxer to watch.
Both Medina and Baloyi have been great boxers in the past years and i think that the south african will have a little to much left in the tank for Medina, i'd expect Baloyi to get a close decision.
