Ruiz isn't a bad fighter, a very decent replacement, but because of his size the critics will slaughter Joshua whatever happens.

I’ve got tickets for this, I remember when it was originally announced it was meant to be a stacked card full of British fighters in world class fights, & so far it’s nothing like that 🙄🙄

I really hope it's a good fight, and people give Ruiz some credit.

If Joshua streamrolls him, then so be it. But I don't think that will happen. Ruiz has more skill than Miller.

He's not going to get there in 5 weeks though, is he? He's certainly far from the worst opponent. He'll try to win, he'll move in and throw punches. If he was in any kind of shape, he'd make it interesting.

Ruiz couldn't win with Panama Lewis in his corner and the magic brown bottle and plaster of paris inside his gutted gloves.

It's a shame that people are holding Ruiz's appearance against him. It was said during the broadcast of his last fight (against Dimitrenko) that he's lost 80 pounds since his professional debut. He's done a lot of work to earn his 32-1 record and a title shot.

The boy can fight. But you have to expect criticism of one's physique in today's fight world. Folks know you don't have to be an Adonis to fight well, but Ruiz is not like Kownacki or even Gorman. He's fat on top of a natural tendency to be fat. And jiggly.

For 1 month notice.. Fighters like Ortiz who have turned down the offer. You cant get better than Ruiz.

That's my opinion.

I rate Ruiz.

Yes, but Vegas was, of course, way wrong! I seriously doubt they did much research on Buster before this bout.

I corrected that post as the Mirage was the casino who made the odds.

I have to disagree mate. Even a washed up Povetkin is better than Ruiz. I'd be surprised if Ruiz makes it past 6.

Povetkin nearly got flattened by Price ffs. He's washed up and was only ever any good because he's spent his career juicing. He got outboxed by a blown-up Huck. At this point I'd make Povetkin a big underdog if he were to fight Ruiz.

Middleweight Austin Williams

Kell Brook..

Thing is, on the Matchroom website, they've took Smith and Brook out.

There is now less than a month for this card.

Absolute shiiiiiiiit!

Katie Taylor vs. Delfine Persoon for Undisputed title.

You have to admit though, he gave Joshua one of his toughest fights to date. He certainly got some better licks in than Parker did.

True but Povetkin thumps harder than Parker and AJ isn't that hard to hit in truth. it's a shame Miller got busted, i fancied him to beat AJ. The stand-in was always going to be a no-hoper once Ortiz essentially admitted he's full of the juice too - so Andy Ruiz imo is as good as an opponent available. Probably makes top 10 at this point.

I agree on Miller. I thought that Miller would have given Joshua a tough night because of his high output and size and durability.

Ruiz is similar style wise to Miller but I just don't know whether he'll be big enough, durable enough and has enough power to get Joshua's respect.
