Undersized but a slick HW. Looks like Ali, if its' the guy I'm thinking about.

I think Billy is friends with the family, maybe related, they were probably doing him a favour.

Hughie its a hard one for him , He's big , young , with a ton of experience for his age . Problem is he just can't seem to reach that next level , I'm sure if he was capable his promoter could sort something out for him , His promoter is'nt his problem , he has a bigger problem than thaat , and that problem is simply his dad .

Now thats not to say Peter is a bad trainer , just that he trains negativity , Tyson was a boring fighter , Hughie is a boring fighter , they run , hide and hold waaaay to much Hughie really needs to go to someone else and learn to get a bit of dog and spite in him .. If i was a manager of a guy who was getting knocked out , i would probably send him to Peter to learn how to survive a bit better ,move better , and develop more defensive skills . but if your Hughie Fury , you really do need to learn to be more agresive , you do need to learn to sit on your punches and develop some spite , Hughie can move well , he can survive well , he can evade getting hurt well , But he can't win when it matters , he has'nt got any mongrel in him and he needs to get some spite , and develop that mongrel .

Unfortunatly you can see Hughie worships his dad , and will never leave him ,and he really needs too

Hughie has been matched appalingly.

21 wins and his best scalp is Sexton. He fought Kassi, then thrown in with Parker.

He's still young, but he needs the next 2 or 3 years slowly working his way up. Not fighting bums then been thriwn in against a top ten fighter.

The winner of Allen vs Price, Charr and then Hammer would be a good trio of next opponents for him.

I think people judge hughie WAY too harshly. He's still a pup. He should be commended for fighting pulev and Parker and being a problem for them. He's 24 ffs. I'd pick him to beat Allen, price, chisora, Gorman, Dubois and maaaybe Joyce (at least be a nightmare with his movement)

he is young but tbh im not super confident about him improving much, seems like the type of kid who was matured at a young age

there was talk of a more agressive hughie after beating sex but then he was even worse vs pulev then vs parker.

You should hang your head in shame for using that word to describe people that risk their lives when they step into a boxing ring. :shame:

You name 6 British fighters there, and I would confidently bet that he won’t be matched with a single one of them.

Don't you think Hughie would be better served with a change of promoter? I admire Mick for what he's achieved, but where does Hughie go next with next to no fan base.?

Hughie is short on personality and has a none too interesting style. Whoever you are, you are up against it trying to promote that combination. He'd have been an exceptional amateur probably but there's a lot more to pro boxing than boxing.

I agree, but he has that name and a decent record. If he signed with Matchroom, he'd be fighting Chisora on the next PPV. If he signed with Wazza, he'd be in with Joyce or Gorman pretty fast.

I don't think that Mick has any say in it, Peter makes the decisions.

Peter masterminded a World title shot by building up a carefully selected unbeaten record.

Peter paid to have Hughie on shows, and he also paid his opponents purses so that he could control the quality of boxer.

The promoter got a "free" fight on his show, plus the Fury name, and also (at the time before the fall-out) Tyson would also invariably turn up and do a sing-song as well, it was good for ticket sales.

Mick has been the best promoter for Hughie , simply because Mick has done has he's told regards opponents and what goes on, Peter set Hughies carreer out not Mick
If Hughie would off been with Warren or matchroom , he would have more losses on his record , , thing is how does a promoter promote a guy who is defensive , negative , without a big punch and fails at the higher level , thats just his boxing , personality he seems , polite , quiet , shy even , all the atributes that you want to see in a person , but these don't sell tickets ,

So what do you have a negative defensive boxer with a shy personality , i'd say Mick has stood by him when really he brings nothing too the table , can't see Warren or Hearn doing the same for him , I would like to see , Hughie develop a killer instinct and a big punch , with a fook you attitude to the world and a Dillan Whyte turn around of his carreer , and then like to see a loyal promoter gewt his rewards , Because if nothing else Mick has been loyal to them to an extent i could'nt see other promoters doing it
