Well alot of bettors lost on this one. Beterbiev opened at -6000 and closed at -590. Looked every part of -6000. I like many others put too much stock in how Rod looked against Browne. Beterbiev is just too powerful.

Browne would get destroyed by any of the current champions as well.

Beterbiev is a dumb boxer. What did he learn from this fight? He can punch hard for sure, but he was trying just that all the fight. He wasn't boxing at all, he was looking for a punch, you can't do that. He fought another stiff, who wasn't able to deal with pressure and power properly, but still caught Beter in the exchange. It looks like, Beter learnt nothing after being dropped in his previous fight. He was rushing forward and slugging again. Any of other champs will school him. Beter should fight a stiff again to keep his belt. And I'm sure, he'll do exactly this next. By the way, the stoppage sucked.

Terrible stoppage??? It should have been stopped much earlier. Kal couldn't walk straight for at least 5 minutes and was taking terrible punishment.

Or maybe you are a dumb poster? Boxers are supposed to use their strengths. Beter was actually boxing in the first couple rounds, but he hurt Kal early and was going for the kill which is the right thing to do against a hurt opponent.

Not dumber, than you, bro, cause Kal was so hurt and ready to go, that he stunned Beter, when Beter was "going for the kill". :OhYes: Beter was rushing forward in attempts to slug from the opening bell, cause that's the only thing he can really do. Or at least he is proven to be able to do for the current moment.

It seemed a bit quick, but the ref had apparently made up his mind before the round started that if Rad took a clean shot, he was going to stop it.

I didn't catch the fight that closely. Only watching it off and on from a Mexican sports book monitor. Paying more attention to the Canelo card.

But Beterbiev looked awkward and crude at times. But so much stronger than Rad. Not just power but physically. It seemed like a light heavy versus a super middle.

Fight was stopped slightly pre maturely seemed California commission was going to error on side of safety that night, most likely Hot Rod was done, so probably Good for hot rods career fight stopped.

This is the best pro version of Beterbiev I have seen so far. At 34 he better get crackin to get some money and some small pro legacy, love to see him vs Kovalev or any other of the top 5 LHW.

Rod was twice given additional rest of about 20 seconds, because a doctor was checking him at the beginning of two last rounds. The guy couldn't walk in a straight line for at least two rounds. This was really a late stoppage, not a premature one.

Such a bad quality for a boxer - being good at slugging and having a 100% KO ratio
