From the 1930's I believe that Benny Alvarez and Benny Almarez are the same person. Alvarez is listed as having only one fight, and that is smack dab in the middle of the LA boxing scene in a gap in Almarez' schedule.

Also, because Alvarez is a very common Spanish surname and Almarez is not, I would think the odds favor the true surname being Alvarez.

I think you're right about them being the same fighter. Although not a common name though, Almarez seems to be correct however. We're checking it.

Beterbiev won his last fight vs. kalajdzic by TKO. That was the official decision which was also pretty obvious based on the ref ending the bout.

BoxRec incorrectly shows as KO. Is this possible to amend please?
