Wilder Wrapping up Camp
Wilder Wrapping up Camp
An international trio is providing the sparring. IBF number six contender 6’7” Robert Helenius (28-2, 17 KOs) of Finland, 6’4” Robert Alfonso (18-0, 8 KOs), a former Olympian from Cuba, and WBO number eight contender 6’6” Junior Fa (17-0, 10 KOs) of New Zealand are currently in Alabama working with Wilder. Also, 6’6” Malik “King” Scott (38-3-1, 13 KOs) is expected to arrive this week.
Interesting group of sparring partners.

Re: Wilder Wrapping up Camp
Reports are that Wilder has been "Bulking Up" during camp, putting on roughly 11 LBS since December weighing around 225LBS as of this post.
Re: Wilder Wrapping up Camp
225 is more around his average weight anyway

Malik Scott….Wilder's buddy who threw their fight.....and not even remotely convincingly.
too much pride for that

Re: Wilder Wrapping up Camp
Helenius is a good call. Tall and as slow as Brazeale. Fa is probably better for Fa than Wilder.

Re: Wilder Wrapping up Camp
I notice he's grown and has acquired a new nickname
He's a funny one. He seemed to have plenty of talent but little love for the game and no ambition. I always liked him in interviews and it's irritating that he never seemed to care enough to make the best of himself. He just doesn't seem like a natural fighter.
