Danny Williams v Ratko Draskovic - WBU title - 27 April

Post by Kassel »

This one went under the radar screen!

Danny Williams v Ratko Draskovic for the WBU (German version) HW title - in Donauworth, Bayern, Germany - 27 April

Both fighters turned up, but Draskovic pulled out at the last minute - claiming injury.

German TV shows both in the ring. Williams told those present that his opponent was scared & didn't want to fight him!!

Pity this never happened as Williams would probably have won by stoppage.

Real shame for those punters who bought tickets specifically to see this :verysad:

Danny still the GBF champion though. Draskovic is around 52 or something isn’t he? I can’t be bothered to check right now, but I’ve seen him before on boxrec. Would probably have been a quick blowout for Williams, his opponent probably has never actually faced a real - although massively shot - boxer

Bit of a casual comment. He fought Fraudley, Danny before and the German guy who was a bit of a tough b4stard who died young, Sam something.

Danny has form getting beaten up by 50 year olds, so you never know, Draskovic could have done it!

Go to the 23 mins mark to see the least prepared 'boxer' ever.
How the hell was she allowed to fight when clearly she had no idea and why the hell was the ref counting ?shame on everyone involved in that sham :shame:

There's only one title more prestigious than the WBU title and that's the German WBU title :yay:

I watched the first several seconds of round one. That is a total disgrace! She doesn't belong in a gym, much less a ring.

The appearance is that she was cleaning the bathrooms and someone said, "Hey you! Want to make a fast fifty dollars? Just keep your gloves up, you'll be ok."

On the bright side, at least the winner had one of milli vanilli in her corner.

Raskolnikov wrote: 06 May 2019, 17:13 Wouldn't be so bad if that had been a one off scenario and she'd sensibility 'retired' afterwards.

But she'd had five 'fights' prior to this, stopped each time only reaching the second round once.
I saw that. Unfathomable.

I can't even garner a guess. What about her family? Maybe it's out of desperation or something. :maybe:

Does anyone know of any other unlisted fights he's had?
Yes mate...

Negus & Miles were unlicenced
McCallister was sanctioned by BIBA, but not recognised by BoxRec

The only other fight was against Edgars Kalnars, that was a Latvian Boxing Federation event, but was not recognised by BoxRec.
