Tucker by decision or late TKO. He'd pepper Cooney and make him miss all night. The stoppage would be Cooney exhausted in the late rounds unable to continue.

A close call. Tucker was a solid boxer, but wasn't proved enough at the higher level. Cooney was more of a puncher, but his biggest scalps had only their names then. I guess, Tucker could take over late indeed, like in Douglas fight. But Cooney could catch him at any moment.

Tucker went 12 with Tyson, proven enough to deal with cooney.

Tony could win a lackluster decision, but Gerry could catch him and stop him late, which is a less than 10% chance. I'm thinking Tony wins something like a 12 round decision, 8-4 or 9-3 in rounds.

I honestly don't think Cooney could ever stop anyone late.

You are probably right, but with that left hook he has, the chances are he is always going to be in the fight with Tucker.
