Hughie Fury - Chris Norrad

Post by Gnome »

Hughie will face 17-0 Canadian Chris Norrad on the 25th May in Manchester. 35yo Norrad has faced only modest opposition but given Hughie has lost two of his last three, a less than intimidating opponent like Norrad was probably to be expected.

Norrad's record.

Norrad was a 10/1 underdog when he was rumoured to be lined up against Dave Allen last year. That says alot about his level.

Hughie needs a comeback fight and Norrad seems the perfect opponent to get the rust off per his resume. Haven't seen him fight and can only see vids from like 8 years ago!

Hopefully we'll see some nice knockouts on Channel 5 to get the casuals more invested in the sport.

Ease up fellas ! It looks ok to me all things considered.

I'd much rather have this on free to air Channel 5 on the 25th than no boxing at all.

Fury's still young and is coming back after a tough fight. I like the look of the chief support and actually prefer a competitive Area title fight than some KFC title nonsense.

No complaints from me !

Ah perfect! Hughie needs to "ease" himself back into the ring. He's a fragile guy you know.

Anytime somebody says “he’s still young” on a Hughie Fury thread they should get a dead leg or have to do a shot of tequila or some sort of punishment.

He’s always “still young”. He’s still shit to watch.

It must be every week we see guys, supposedly top fighters fighting sub par opposition, no different from Hughie here, strange career he's had, been in with a couple of top HWs but long spells of inactivity and forgettable fights plus a couple of solid performances, I thought he was pretty poor against Pulev, well beat, he was cut bad early and did hurt Pulev but overall it was pretty ragged, poor jab and predictable right hands which kept sailing over the top of Pulev, disappointing from a guy seen as a technical boxer, still he's a young Heavyweight and he's capable, I still thought he beat Parker

Looking through Norrad's record, should be easy work
