WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
Tyson Fury has been ordered to fight Dillian Whyte by the World Boxing Council, a bout that could lead to an eagerly anticipated rematch against Deontay Wilder.
According to The Sun, The Gypsy King must take on his fellow Brit in an eliminator to determine who will be next in line for a shot at the WBC heavyweight title.
Fury's next fight is set to be against German Tommy Schwarz on in June, before taking to the ring once again on September 28.
The identity of his opponent for that day has not been revealed, and it could yet be the date for the all-British bout.
Fury stated earlier this month that he plans on fighting just three more times in his career.
The 30-year-old told IFL TV: 'I am going to be very active this year. I am going to have three fights, then I am going to be gone.'

Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
Never gonna happen by order.
Fury already said screw the rankings. Plus, Wilder will likely rematch Fury as a voluntary.
Why not Whyte vs. Ortiz?
Maybe because Ortiz is already being lined up as a voluntary?

What about Ortiz , looks like he will be Wilders next opponent . Agree i can't see Fury being told who to fight by any organization , and lets have it right he's big enough name to pick and choose who he wants , not who they want him in with .
Anyway , he would beat Whyte easy

Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
Whyte won't want to go to ESPN and Fury won't want to go to Sky/DAZN. It will most likely be the first one to pull out keeps the position however, as far as I'm aware this wasn't an official order for a mandatory, more of a desire for this expressed in the discussions between WBC and Whyte to clear up their mess. So this might not even be ordered.

Fury should fight Whyte, why not? Make a lot of money and should be relatively easy to make given his promotional status.
Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
Unsure why so many don't see this happening. As I understand it Whyte is fight by fight with Matchroom so he's adaptable enough and it's a big fight that he'd want.
Schwartz....Whyte.....Wilder....Joshua.

Fury won't want it.
Whyte shouldn't have to do it but I imagine he would.
Fight won't happen.

I'd quite like to see it. Though it is quite interesting that the WBC keep expecting Whyte to take on the toughest challenges.
Who is their true champion, Wilder or Whyte?
The way things are going the silver title is going to supersede the green belt for prestege, if they make the Whyte take out all potential pitfalls for Wilder in advance.
Plus Fury needs to step up his game.
The Schwartz fight wasn't actually that surprising as no one was really available that wasn't a known quantity and he was relatively highly ranked, and coming from a large market. But who would be next, Fujimoto? Zhang?
Much rather see Whyte. Think it would be another loss on his record though. Chisora II mark II.

Yes I feel for him but at the same time he is making a few quid so cant be all bad, where else would he earn this cash in life if you took out boxing from his life?Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑09 May 2019, 08:26 They are taking the piss out of Whyte how many elimination fights does he have to take?
Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
True, but I don't think a kid gets into boxing dreaming about the money. They, like any sportman, want to be the best they can and win titles.
Then again, there was no money in the sport I was good at. So maybe I missed a trick
Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
Indeed, Brezeale beats a guy ranked about 20th and gets the shot, yet Whyte has to continuously jump through hoops just to be told 'fight Fury and we will give it to you'.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑09 May 2019, 08:26 They are taking the piss out of Whyte how many elimination fights does he have to take?
Pretty sure Whyte would have a strong case in court if he was that way inclined, had he signed with Warren he may have already taken WBC to court.
Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
Next they'll be trying to get Whyte to win the Tour de Fuckin France before he's allowed a shot! Did he get caught knobbing Sullimans wife or something
Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
LOL! Can't see Tyson taking on Whyte. I'd be shocked. In addition, another delay for Whyte not getting a title shot is ludicrous at this point. Boxing is a hot mess!

Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
You’d think so, he’s probably number one in the world when in comes to taking on top 10 fighters at the minute and they are still fcuking him about, at least he’s earning well but as has been said he wants to fight for the title
Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
I don't usually use the term, but Whyte is being ducked by the top guys. He came out and said he was never presented with an offer to fight AJ as Miller's replacement, despite reaching out to Hearn, even saying that he'd already been in training for five weeks at the time of the call.
This guy has done everything to earn a title shot. I don't care if it's Wilder or AJ. He's being ducked.
"Anthony Joshua recently claimed that he has made offers to just about every heavyweight going this year, including myself. I can say right now – on my left hand – AJ and Eddie Hearn did not make me an offer for the fight in New York after Jarrell Miller’s failed drugs tests. It was me that offered to step in and take the fight," Whyte told Talk Sport.
"AJ had been in ten weeks of VADA testing, I had already been training for five weeks, so I said I’ve got enough time to get myself ready and I’ll take the shot."

Well, Ruiz is being paid same amount Ortiz was offered..oogiebe wrote: ↑09 May 2019, 10:22 I don't usually use the term, but Whyte is being ducked by the top guys. Joshua just doesn't seem to want to give Whyte a payday over $7m or £5m
Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
Doesn't make any sense to me. So I call it a duck. Both AJ and Wilder.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑09 May 2019, 10:32 Well, Ruiz is being paid same amount Ortiz was offered..

Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
Something doesn't quite add up there from Whyte tho
I recall him saying that the April fight at Wembley wasn't good for him back in January because he wanted a full three months for such a big fight...
Of course he might have just been trying hard ball to squeeze more money out of the fight
Another explanation is Whyte and Joshua not being the best of buds, might encourage Whyte to take any opportunity to diminish Joshua's star through contradictory comments

Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
All sides make questionable statements. But I get your point here. The diff is that Whyte was already in training (5 weeks) when Miller tested positive. Great point on the prior statement by Whyte implying he needed three months to train. Should we expect consistency when these blokes blow steam? It's all promotional spewing in the end, I suspect.Finkel wrote: ↑09 May 2019, 11:32 Something doesn't quite add up there from Whyte tho

Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
No way is AJ ducking Whyte, not giving him a payday is more realistic.
I think the Whyte fight works well for Fury, big money on PPV, a fight he should win well and he should take on a ranked contender

Be interesting if Whyte goes through with his legal action against the WBC.
He could be the new Fres Oquendo.

Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
Fair points, but you can't eliminate AJ ducking him. Not giving him a payday would be juvenile.
