Not a big Bowe fan, but when he was at this best I'd have to take him over Larry by a whisker. He was the best inside fighter for a big man I've ever seen, as I remember. He proved his toughness in the Holyfield trilogy. Ask me again tomorrow and I might select Holmes, whom I love. It's that close.

Holmes by decision.Holmes had the better jab and the better legs. Bowe's inside game wouldn't be a factor

A close matchup. Both had great jabs, but Holmes' one was better, what would give Larry an advantage in fighting outside, yet Bowe would be able to establish the fight in close quarters. Anyway Holmes wasn't frustrated, when he was forced to fight. I'm sure, that Bowe would make it no less hard fight, than Norton of Witherspoon had done.

Depends what you meant.
Prime for prime? No doubts Holmes by UD.
And if they meet somewhere around early 90's I would favour Bowe (slightly).

In my opinion, if prime vs prime, Bowe wins. Holmes never had a huge punch, thus Bowe would constantly be inside on Holmes, ripping him apart. Holmes had an excellent jab, but you have to remember, when Bowe was in his prime, his jab was lethal - one of the best, if not the best!!

Both fighters had great chins, so I would predict a majority win for Riddick "Big Daddy" Bowe thru 10 or 12 rounds. He might be able to drop Larry to a knee at some point, but Larry be tough, he'd get back up and fight on.

In there respective "primes" Holmes has about a 6 year prime where he wins this......and Bowe has a bout a 5 day span of prime time where he would likely be the winner. So If Holmes can avoid signing on the line for that one work week span,, Holmes is going to win most any matchup hypothetically made between them.
