Old heavyweights vs new heavyweights?

Post by Winter king »

The top 3 right now is Joshua, Fury and Wilder.
Who do you think would be the best against Joshua?
Who do you think would be the best against
Fury?
Who do you think would be the best against
Wilder?

This ought to be in the BOXERS OF THE PAST forum board since its hypotheticals with ex champions. Also, you may as well hear this now rather than later--- the vast majority of this forum are so pro-oldies that they'd say the only people they could beat would be Marvin Hart, Tommy Burns, and the Spinks brothers.

It wasn't that long ago an old-time poster argued with me for three days that Ezzard Charles, who started out as a Welterweight in the amateurs, would beat Tyson Fury. So, probably not the most reasonable site to post such questions on. Maybe you should try EastsideBoxing or SaddoBoxing instead for more open mindedness.

Ok. For the fun of it.

Against Wilder, I would want a mobile fighter who is going to outbox him, not allow him to land his power punch and with a good chin to take it should he land...that’s Ali.

Against Fury I’d want someone with a good right hand, good work rate and solid mindset, tough to discourage who could land punches together quickly...so Louis.

AJ I would want someone who a very good jab, crafty, and with good stamina...so Holmes.
