WBC don’t owe him anything. He’s the one that has opted to pay their sanc feesPredatorHayds wrote: ↑09 May 2019, 12:17 Be interesting if Whyte goes through with his legal action against the WBC.
He could be the new Fres Oquendo.
Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
Exactly this. AJ is punishing Whyte for his not so subtle insinuations amongst other things. Even saying something as simple as 'AJ has been having VADA testing for 10 weeks' can be construed as 'AJ has been off the non-prescribed drugs for 10 weeks.'
Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
Why not punish him in the ring?
Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
Depriving him of five million is more of a punishment than any probable outcome in the ring. Heavyweights seldom get seriously hurt.
Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
Not bothered either way, the fight doesn't do anything for me. Fury, Wilder and Usyk are the only fights I'd watch live.

Depends what promises the WBC made him.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑09 May 2019, 12:25 WBC don’t owe him anything. He’s the one that has opted to pay their sanc fees
For arguments sake if he’s paid the sanctioning fees under the pretence that he will be next in line for a title shot, but the WBC have then not fulfilled that promise then there’s potential grounds for a law-suit.
The Fres Oquendo-WBA case set a precedent.
Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
The other difference between not taking the April fight and offering to step in to the June slot was he was (rightly in my opinion) not willing to take the dictated rematch terms tagged on to an April match. This seems to be glazed over too easily. If he beats AJ, why the fck should he still take the short end of the deal in what would be a defence of HIS unified heavyweight titles? I think he said he would take the shite deal for the first fight, as long as he can take his own terms in a rematch. This is why he said he would earn a WBO mandatory, as no rematch terms can be put in place in that instance. Fair play. Perhaps he felt that if he stepped in to save the day in June, they would relax the rematch terms as in a tighter corner.
Also, he said (inferred strongly) that an April date was too close and AJ could still be getting benefits from his warm weather supplements on an April date. Then he said that for the June one, he would have been under VADA long enough to change that. Another instance of fair play for me.

Like anything, if the money is right, it will happen. Whyte wouldn't turn the fight down, and I reckon Fury would think it's an easy fight.

Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
Tyson Fury dismisses WBC’s order to fight Dillian Whyte – ‘Do I take orders from anybody?’
Fury has already opted out of an ordered second bout with Wilder and instead plans to revisit that rematch in the future.
When asked about the final eliminator, he told Behind The Gloves: “I don’t really think too much of it because I’m the ‘lineal’ heavyweight champion of the world. I fight who I want, when I want, how I want.
“I don’t need to fight eliminators to fight people. I already had a Deontay Wilder fight the other day without an eliminator…
“How long have you known me? Do I take orders from anybody?
“I ain’t being ordered to do anything by anybody. I’ve got my own s*** going on, I’m going at my own pace and I do what I wanna do.”
His team are now campaigning for his bout with Oscar Rivas on July 20 to be for the mandatory status – a move Fury is in favour of.
“I think it’s very unfair the way that they’re treating Dillian Whyte,” the ‘Gypsy King’ continued.
“He’s had to fight some good men, some undefeated men and work his way back up the ladder.
“And I’m starting to believe what he says – that they don’t want him to fight for the title maybe.
“They ordered him to fight me – that’s a guaranteed loss.
“He’s fighting another good fella, Oscar Rivas, in his next fight so I don’t know what more he has to do. He’s been number one ranked, give the guy a title shot for God’s sake.”

Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
I've posted before that I was worried that Fury would fall back into old habits if he doesn't stay focused and rematch Wilder. I still believe that is a possibility and maybe more so now. We'll see what he looks like when he steps into the ring with Schwarz, and who he faces in subsequent bout. I really believe he pulled it together for his Wilder fight,, but he can't sustain that sort of discipline.

Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
When has he told the truth. He has said so many different things. Just blowing smoke I suspect. If Wilder is, in fact, facing Kownacki and then Ortiz, then December is not going to happen for them.

Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
It'd take a brave punter to bet on the contrary.
I think Fury'd accept this fight if Whyte had a major belt, but he hasn't taken a risk otherwise since he became famous. If you discount Chisora, he was the heavy favourite in 14 fights between 2009 (McDermott 1) and Wlad. Since coming back, he's been the massive favourite in his 3 fights before and after Wilder.
If Fury fought at any other weight, he'd have to get past someone like Whyte to earn AJ and/or Wilder.

Re: WBC have ordered Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte
Fury swerved the Wilder rematch, he'll definitely swerve Whyte. The reality is he can beat both.
He want's that easy dollar though.
Let's leave him with the Schwarz fight and see how he looks. I suspect he may get pushed to step up the opponent if he's in a dull 12 rounder (which is very much possible) - The yanks are not going to put up with him prodding his jab out for 12 rounds with the odd one/two thrown in.

Oquendo won in court over the chagaev fight. Wilder us fighting his mandatory now. White is the most deserving contender, but he can't sue over an organization stupid rules. If he becomes mandatory after Rivas he could get a fight by next may.PredatorHayds wrote: ↑09 May 2019, 13:06 Depends what promises the WBC made him.

The Yanks won't care about that fight. Floyd was the biggest star here since evander and Tyson. Big numbers are drawn from seeing the 'fight'. Unlikely fury, or anyone else reaches that level but 4 million of us paid $100 to watch Floyd take on a guy in his pro debut. You give our minions too much credit.Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑11 May 2019, 13:25 Fury swerved the Wilder rematch, he'll definitely swerve Whyte. The reality is he can beat both.

Good points, but at the same time he seems quite happy to let his hands go against lower opposition. Prior to Klitschko, Fury's historical average for punches thrown was on par with Jarrell Miller.Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑11 May 2019, 13:25 Fury swerved the Wilder rematch, he'll definitely swerve Whyte. Even so, it is a low percentage of punches that Fury throws with much venom, and as you say he rarely sticks the jab; I guess, he isn't necessarily trying to score with the majority that he throws, rather trying to look busy, whilst keeping opponents on their toes and probing for openings. But his tippy-tappy shots against a guard can be boring for a lot of viewers (myself included
