Riddick Bowe vs Deontay Wilder

Post by Cojimar 1946 »

The recent Bowe threads had me thinking this might be a good matchup. Let's say the Riddick Bowe of 1995 vs the Deontay Wilder of 2018.

Don't get ahead of yourself, I didn't suggest Wilder wins, I'm just curious how people see it

Be easier to picture once Wilder inevitably loses, and we have the manner of the loss to help grade him, but I see him being little more than cannon fodder for the bulk of big names 90s heavyweights. Especially Bowe.

It should be a thread about how Bowe wins Wilder instead.

Hey OHR, I see you've been around lately, but did you take some time away? A decade ago I recall your brilliant input on a regular basis, not sayin' we agreed on everything, but your input was historically some of my favorite in these twenty plus years of participation here. Just hadn't seen a lot of your handiwork lately.

However....I was born in the early 50's......which places me squarely in the 60's during my teens.....and this could go a long way to explain my statement here, if in fact you've never had a pause in your participation.

Let’s get around the obvious fact that Wilder wouldn’t step foot in a ring with Bowe.

IF IF IF he did. He’d get smashed inside six rounds. Beaten by the jab as Bowe cant miss then beats him up inside with uppercuts and body shots then finishes off a helpless Wilder.

Bowe is mainly judged because of his fights against Holyfield, take Holyfield out of the equation and I don’t think Bowe looked that special.
