What Ever Happened to the Split Decision?

Post by caldo2025 »

I may be mistaken or forgetful but I’m having a hard time remembering the last split decision in one of the top 5 billed bouts of the year. That could be a result of Canelo and his triplet criminal judging circus in Vegas but it just seems like we’ve seen split decisions way more often in the big fights of the past.

Yeah, the majority of fights these days are showcase fights between studs and inferior opposition but it seemed like most of the great fights in the past were rarely unanimous. I could be mistaken but who cares?

Plenty of split decisions happening here all the time on Boxrec.

We're just not as slick as Vegas. Now if they paid us the same...
