I guess I'd be content to make good money against easier opposition too. I'm sure they all know they eventually got face the music, and put themselves to the test against the biggest possible names, but they're in no hurry about it.

At least Breazeale was Wilder's mandatory so there's that excuse, and Andy Ruiz ain't bad I guess given that he's a late sub. Better than Schwarz and Charr in both cases
Aye its a total let down.

Disappointed in all of the camps to be honest.

Especially the Fury camp.

looks like Fury wants to clean out the German scene: Hammer, Klitschko, Seferi, Pianeta, Schwarz, Charr...

I would say it is 50/50 whether he goes on another bender before AJ or a Wilder rematch.

This is one of the main reasons I was disappointed they took the espn route. Long term planning when you have mental health issues is fraught with uncertainty. I really thought they would strike while he was in good mental and physical shape.

Hopefully he stays healthy. For boxing and non boxing reasons.

Reminds me of Audley Harrison rinsing the BBC for his first 10 fights. There was no quality control clause, so he could fight anybody he wanted.

If he has to fight a German then I'd suggest Agit Kabayel. I'm not sure I'd want to pay to watch that but Fury v Schwartz on PPV is a ferkin joke and I hope it bombs completely as it deserves.

Unless I'm mistaken the Gashi fight where Schwartz shamelessly play acted to try to get Senad Gashi disqualified seems to have mysteriously vanished from YouTube. Not entirety unexpected of course.

i didn't seen this fight but i heard that Gashi did well... i heard he did well vs Takam too (i haven't seen this fight as well) but from what i've seen in his Chisora fight he's a garbage.

Maybe they feel like it's going to take time to get him back into peak physical shape, which I don't think he was in vs Wilder.

Charr Bryan purse bid is postponed :OhYes: the story of the WBA HW Regular belt is like an soap opera.

Garbage is perhaps unfair as well as unkind but he certainly won't be posing any problems to anyone who has genuine top ten (or even twenty) potential.

I was amazed that he was as good as he was. I had little doubt Fury was a lamb to the slaughter and I'm sure that is what Maurizio and Al were expecting too.

The very fact it exists at all is a complete joke. How can you have two separate world championships open to everbody (i.e. no age parameters or other demarcations) recognized by the same shitty organization. It's absurd.

I'd rather see the winner fight Joshua personally...unless Andy Ruiz shocks the world and beats AJ

Well sure that goes without saying but (given that AJ v DW doesn't look like happening anytime soon) that's still a good shout Characters :TU:
