Can you root for Wilder after all these trash-talkings ?
Can you root for Wilder after all these trash-talkings ?
I will root against Wilder from now to eternity. He is a fool. Period.
My opinion has nothing to do with racism, I hate all kinds of racists.
BTW, is Breazeale considered as an Afro-American or something else ?
So, can you root for Wilder ?

I rooted for him since Day 1.
Why would trash talk from a boxer change my sentiments?
Up there with Inoue as the best pure puncher in the game.
Why would anyone want to root against seeing that kind of excitement?

I won't root for Wilder, but not because of trash-talking. I just don't root for Wilder. I don't root for Breazeale as well. But I admit, that I like to watch both Wilder's and Breazeale's fights. And I'm not against talking trash as well, why not? So I just wait something entertaining out there. However, I didn't watch their verbal wars this time. Did Wilder talk some racial stuff or what? I know, he was talking about his desire of "a body in the record". But what's up with racial stuff? Btw Breazeale is a mixed-race.

i've never liked him

He is a very interesting fighter, there is no dilemma about that, but, simply, he is not a normal person (if he pretends to be a fool, he has chosen the worst possible way).SenorPipino wrote: ↑17 May 2019, 12:44 I rooted for him since Day 1.

Yes. I will always watch his fights. I know he talks a lot of crap, and get's annoying listening to him repeating the shame shit, but I like watch boxers getting KD or KTFO.. Wilder can give me that.
Re: Can you root for Wilder after all these trash-talkings ?
..of course not, I generally don't support big-mouth clowns..give me one good reason why I should?...what is irritating here is that Wilder and Co. seem to enjoy playing boxing fans for fools..it's like saying "the bigger clown I make myself outside the ring, the more of you idiots are gonna pay to see me in the ring"...
like I said elsewhere: count me out...

Of course, I don't care what anyone says. I've never even heard him say anything offensive.
Re: Can you root for Wilder after all these trash-talkings ?
I will root for him, yes.
However, if Breazeale should rally against him, I will cheer him on, too.
I know it’s old fashioned, but I want nothing but for the best man to win.

Re: Can you root for Wilder after all these trash-talkings ?
it's possible but i highly doubt that. he knocked Washington out in round 5 (and it was arguably a bad stoppage, but i think that he would knock Washington in this round anyway), that's it. the rest of his opponent lasted 8-12 rounds. even the wreck of Arreola.
Re: Can you root for Wilder after all these trash-talkings ?
No i will not. On the other hand, ive never rooted for him
All these idiots should more fight and less talk. Maybe it was entertaining in Ali era, but when you heard idiotic talk from 50% of boxers it is not entertaining anymore. I am just tired of that. It is pathetic and cheap. I am rarely cheer for someone who im disliking outside of ring.

If he can get a million people to tune in and root against him we can say he did his job at promoting the fight.

..he'd rather be cocky: that makes him just look like a fool...if he's "just saying what he would like to do", that makes him a potential criminal...SenorPipino wrote: ↑17 May 2019, 14:32 Don't fixate.
But nevertheless, I don't see it as cocky. He's not bragging. Wilder's just saying what he would like to do.
