Deontay shook hands and took pics with fans inside the arena for a solid 20 mins after the fight and another 20 mins outside the arena on his way back to his hotel. He was very very gracious and very warm and engaging to everyone. You learn more about the true character of a fighter in how they interact with spectators than you do in pre-fight media quotes which are often marketing based. Wilder is a good

Thanks for the insight. He was gracious enough to go to Breazeale's corner and hug it out with him after the fight. Wilder's detractors make way too much out of his prefight trash-talk.

So what? Are you some kind of automaton who claims to have no biases or favorites in what athletes you like? We all have our biases and if you are one of those who claims you dont then you are only lying to yourself. I make no bones about what fighters or other athletes I like & make no apologies to you or anyone else for being a fan of Wilder/Spence/Crawford/Mikey/Ajagba or anyone else I root for.

You're not a Wilder fan I take it....

So, the only way you can make yourself feel better after last night's blow out is to pick on Wilder fans....

Not triggered. Just annoyed that boxing fans display such a level of sensitivity to a combat fighter building up a fight. It goes both ways. I found the whole hoopla over the I want a body comment a waste of time. It didn't seen to bother that punk Breazeale as much as it did the Wilder detractors.

lol i like him a lot, and in your post we just see more sensitivity in the suggestion that someone must be a hater if they dont compulsively moan about how snowflakes are criticizing deontay

this thread got so long precisely because the sensitive flakes are on both sides , one set couldnt resist going after wilder , the other had to come protect there man, hey, no harm, the forum is here as an outlet for our dislikes and preferences

You are the one moaning and accusing people of being sensitive.

Someone started the thread complaining about Wilder's statements. Then others chimed in and said chill out. It's part of the game. And you are accusing the Wilder defenders as being snowflakes? You're one backwards ass dude. Especially if you are a Wilder fan.

You're just looking to upset someone for some reason.

I like the fact that when confronted about this, instead of apologizing Deontay doubled down and said he'd pay for the funeral. Tasteless or not, I'll take it over Breazeale's bland attempts at trash talk. Wilder has a lot of personality inside and outside the ring, which is why I like watching him fight.

His post fight embrace of Breazeale and press conference comments should disarm this issue.

I want to know what happened to the little guy - or girl - who was in that costume on the Spanish language tv show that he sucker punched with all his might and knocked out. As far as I know nobody has ever seen him or her since. Wilder said he didn't know a person was inside the costume ''''' ''    THIS GUY RIGHT HERE

Yes. In our country it's perfectly legal, counselor.

And you, counselor, might be the only person on the planet who worries incessantly about the legalities of boxing-related trash talk.

You have pretty silly concerns.

Brendan Schaub said he was sat next to the Braezeale family during the bout. He noted there was a bit of weeping coming from that area after the 1st round.

Question..... If you were a boxer, and you were a HUGE underdog, Would you bring your kids to sit ringside to a fight where a killer of a puncher said he wants a body on his record? Especially, when said fighter has shown extreme disdain towards you?

Braezeale needs to be brought up on charges for subjecting his children to such trauma.

Legally speaking, I don't think Wilder's comments would constitute a reasonable threat. It may be poor sportsmanship.

Great point. Really mindless (and poor parenting) to bring little kids. They don't have he capacity to process beatings of a parent or anyone else for that matter. I can't imagine what went through their minds when daddy was knocked down like a ton of bricks.

I was joking about Breazeale being brought up on charges. But, seriously, you bring your kids with a chance of them getting traumatized like that. I understand he was confident. But geez...

On a side note - I thought Wilder's walk out was dope.
