Re: Joe Joyce
I'm saying he's got that Frankensteins cartoon monster just keep coming strength that could land him some appalling drawn-out beatings, assuming his chin is as strong as his stamina and overall strength seems to be

Re: Joe Joyce
He eats punches and you think he can do it for another seven years and only begin to decline at 40?
Hello Jim, welcome to boxing. Weird that you started to share opinions before you even watched a fight, but nice to have you here.

Re: Joe Joyce
Im sorry but I don't see very many fighters start sliding at 40.
Most are long retired by that age.

Re: Joe Joyce
Very strange thing to say considering he uses his face to block punches, still we are all entitled to our opinion i suppose.
Re: Joe Joyce
Joyce is a quality operator. I like his interviews too. Would love to see him in with Wilder-Joshua-Fury.
Re: Joe Joyce
Mate, he'd struggle with one of em, never mind all three
Re: Joe Joyce
You're always saying this but this is pointless after Saturday. Perhaps before Wilder done him in one he might have been a respectable opponent but right now he offers less than Stiverne did. He's done.
Re: Joe Joyce
the winner of dubois/gorman is a good fight for him......but FW's saying that Joyce is going to bypass the domestic tree and head for european honours first.
Re: Joe Joyce
We have a comedian.revpickles wrote: ↑20 May 2019, 11:20 Joe reminds me of a game i used to have as a kid in the 70's , it was called raving bonkers....Two robots slug it out in straight lines throwing solid shots straight down the line until eventually one robot loses his head and it pops up on a spring!
Joe Joyce is an elite level boxers dream because he's a walking punch bag for boxer/movers and side to side fighters.
In my opinion Hughie Fury will outsmart Joe Joyce in such a way that it would make a classic fight because Joe will keep coming and Hughie will keep throwing punches .
Plenty of great fights for Joe at the moment , Chisora , Martin, Kownacki , Hughie , Hammer , Whyte ...take your pick, some he wins easy, some he loses!
I think a fight with Whyte would be the most fun to watch personally, just as a fan of heavyweight boxing.

Whyte would be a great fight for UK fans-however i don't think Joe is ready!
Hughie would beat Joe Joyce, He's a different level and still young -Hughie has been fighting on the retreat due to injury lets not forget, as well as i am aware that battles are never won that way he still has the time skill and dedication to be a future great.
A very entertaining fight would be Dave Allen V's Joyce as it's a total clash of styles-that really would be rock em sock em-or Raving Bonkers! Joyce stops him obviously after knocking him into next week but Dave's a 'hardman' so he says-well fight Joe then !
or how about Otto Wallin the big swede at 20-0 ?

I have just done a Wiki on the history because i want one for my kids now....jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑20 May 2019, 13:52 Nah, it was rock em sock em in the uk as far back I recall, I'm sure they were around in the late 70s
It reads that it came out in the late 60's in the USA as Rock Em Sock Em, however in the UK it was brought out in the early 70's as 'Raving Bonkers'
I learn something new every day...
Re: Joe Joyce
I don't always say this, but I would like to see Breazeale vs Joyce. He's certainly not less than Stiverne. Just because he got blown out by Wilder, doesn't take away that he's a decent HW.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑21 May 2019, 04:56 You're always saying this but this is pointless after Saturday. Re: Joe Joyce
Breazdale would be a step forward both in terms of recognition and level. And more importantly a very winnable fight.
It would be good matching if Joyce got him next.

Re: Joe Joyce
No it wouldn’t. He just got stopped in one. From a PR perspective it’s a terrible fight. He needs to rebuild before being considered a viable opponent for anybody looking to impress.
Re: Joe Joyce
With the state of the division, it would be the easiest route to a shot. He wouldn't get more kudos for fighting Ortiz , Whyte, Pulev or Povetkin despite them being much riskier fights.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑21 May 2019, 09:53 No it wouldn’t. He just got stopped in one. Re: Joe Joyce
id like to see him in with someone who themselves is on the up or looking to advance beyond being a recycled opponent like ustinov and stiverne. if he fights someone like amir masnour its more of the same. breazeales would defo be his top opponent to date but it would look bad off a brutal first round ktfo. it would just inevitably be ppl saying 'well look wilder stpped him way faster' (if he did indeed top him)

id like kabayel for the euro

Re: Joe Joyce
I'd back Joyce to beat Hughie. It wouldn't be pretty, but I think Hughie gets outworked.
Joyce-Parker makes a lot of sense to me, though, because they're both treading water and the winner could use that traction.

Joyce blathers Hughie. Vs Parker would be a war.Grilling Machine wrote: ↑21 May 2019, 11:17 I'd back Joyce to beat Hughie. It wouldn't be pretty, but I think Hughie gets outworked.
