105 pound division is the weakest.

Super-flys rule but from flyweights down, there is a general lack of consistence in competition

Who really even pays attention to anything below 115? Unless best fight the best.

Anything above SuperFly? What's the weakest?

I can’t think of a single universally-regarded top-twenty rated pound-for-pounder competing within the following weight classes:

• Cruiserweight (Usyk is now campaigning at heavyweight)
• Super Middleweight
• Light middleweight (now that Jarrett Hurd recently tasted defeat)
• Junior welterweight
• Super featherweight
• Junior featherweight
• Flyweight
• Junior Flyweight
• Minimumweight

This leads me to believe that 122lbs might be the weakest weight division (assuming we’re excluding any weight classes below 115lbs).

Weakest above flyweight is probably cruiserweight. There's very little quality there since most of the best guys move up to HW.

That doesn't mean it's weak though. Now that Usyk and Gassiev are moving up, there's still a decent crop of "evenly matched" CW's. They would all make for some 50-50 fights.

I agree, but it's much better now than it was then.

depends how you look at weakest really but Lomachenko is obviously a super great but there is not really a fight for him at Lightweight, no real depth at all. (I am counting Mike Garcia as a 140 fighter).

Some of the low weights are quite competitive because there are less fighters so they have to fight each other.

Most heavyweights just avoid each other, here is a thought only 5 current active heavyweights have defeated a top 10 heavyweight in the last three years. It does not get much better as you go through the divisions at cruiserweight 6 have light-heavy 8, s-midd 7, middle 9, jnr middle 7, welter 7, jnr welter 10, light 8, sfeth, 8, feather 10, s-ban 9, bantam 9 , sfly 13 , fly 10 , jnr fly 8, straw 5.,

I was working from the aggregated list of names from the rankings published by ESPN and The RING.

It’s a shame about the HW. Because everyone said it was not competitive and the weakest a few years ago. Then when Fury beat Wlad, some got excited, and then when Fury vacated, all the belts were out there. Even better. But now Joshua has 3 belts and Wilder has the other. Kinda how it was before, Joshua is the new Wlad.

There are some good heavies, but they just dont fight each other

at 130 i think tank and berchelt are really good fighters who are p4p on ability if not resume. that said when there are absolutely zero signs they are going to fight, and the rest of the division isnt that strong, it really makes 130 not that great, but defo not the weakest either

After Kov Ward ( and poor old Chickenson), LHW is in a bit of a mess. Maybe there are good fighters there, but no single guy because they don't fight each other. So how do you tell how good they are

they should definitely reduce divisions under 122 lbs that 3 lbs difference in weightclass is ridiculous

Usyk and Gassiev moving up to Heavyweight has weakened Cruiserweight massively. Also the winner of this year's WBSS will likely move up too.
