What's with Whyte?
Re: What's with Whyte?
@ Getnada: Are you winding us up?. Derrick is a decent fighter but he is nowhere near Holyfield's quality and he'd probably tell you that himself.
I'm sure you enjoy making people think you're a raving looney, it's the only explanation that makes any sense. Unless ...

I get the impression that getnada is having a laugh with us all,
No-one in all seriousness would ever compare Holyfield and Chisora, not even Derrick's wife would do that!
Re: What's with Whyte?
Honestly, I think he's just a kid. He doesn't get nasty or anything and his comments are more like fanboy stuff. No harm if I'm right.Syntax Error wrote: ↑07 Apr 2019, 17:50 Spot on.

Re: What's with Whyte?
Yeah I posted that without noticing there was a page of comment following his, which having now read, it seems he's been banned again.
Personally I think that's a shame, I like him. He's great entertainment value and I really admire that he never lets all the sh1t he takes, get him down or prevent from saying what he thinks.
How boring would it be if we were all very sensible and serious and basically on the same page? Hurry back crazy Dutchman
He changes identity more often than "Doctor Who" ... maybe next time he'll be woman![[icon_wink.gif] ;-)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)

getnadas just having some fun, y are ppl getting triggered and asking for bans?
Re: What's with Whyte?
Charr calls Whyte "irrelevant" and refuses to fight him. I can't help but LMFAO!
Re: What's with Whyte?
Yes I know. It's funny but it's kinda depressing at the same time.

Charr's not even relevant in his own house.
I bet even his closest family and friends don't call him the HW Champion of the World.

Re: What's with Whyte?
Eddie Hearn has today claimed that, after the Andy Ruiz Jr. bout, AJ intends to perform mandatory defences of his IBF & WBO world titles against Kubrat Pulev and Oleksandr Usyk. Those are the guys he plans to face next.
Deontay Wilder is likely to face Luis Ortiz next, followed by Adam Kownacki.
Tyson Fury will be competing in two stay-busy type bouts for the remainder of the year against fringe contenders, the first of which will be against the unheralded Tom Schwarz.
‘The Gypsy King’ claims that his rematch against Deontay Wilder is very likely to take place around the middle of next year, with the expectation that it’ll either be a two-fight deal or include a rematch clause (should ‘The Bronze Bomber’ lose).
Therefore, after his bout against the top-ten world-rated undefeated Oscar Rivas, who the hell is Dillian Whyte going to face next? And more importantly, when is he going to be granted an opportunity to fight for any of the world titles? What more can he do to earn the right to face Wilder or Joshua?
After all, his big-name rivals can’t pretend that facing Dillian Whyte is high-risk low-reward, because all his bouts are staged in huge packed-out arenas, coupled with the fact that his fights are usually covered by PPV events.
And as far as I know, he’s the only fighter in the history of the sport that has never fought for a world title, but yet gained so much commercial success, despite being self-managed and a promotional free agent.

Re: What's with Whyte?
I'd say he only has two hopes to avoid fading into obscurity over the next 12 months. First, that the talks with the WBC somehow hey him a shot with Wilder (unlikely). Or, second, that him and Fury fight for the WBC diamond belt this year.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑24 May 2019, 04:04 Therefore, after his bout against the top-ten world-rated undefeated Oscar Rivas, who the hell is Dillian Whyte going to face next? Not sure anyone would be that Intetested in seeing him against anyone else. Fights against Povetkin or Miller probably wouldn't face a huge backlash but they'd be a pretty big risk. Any other stay busy fights for the next year won't be on PPV, which he seems to require at the moment, so not sure what else he can do...
Re: What's with Whyte?
WTF is a "Diamond belt" ? Is it one especially commissioned by the WBC to mark the sixtieth anniversary of a number one contender of theirs waiting to get a title shot ?
Fury and Whyte should just fight if they like the idea. They can make a lot of money in UK PPV (Sky + BT collaboration ?) without paying any sanctioning fees to that grasping bastard and his cuntish organization.
Did anyone see that embrace between Wilder and Sulaiman ? It stopped short of kissing with tongues but they seemed locked together for ages. One might almost have formed the impression it was more like lovers than a totally impartial president of the sport's senior governing organization and a boxer who just happens to hold one of their belts.
Unbeferkinlievable !

I don't even think they're trying to hide the corruption anymore. Sulaiman's actions in the ring, common employees high up within Haymon Sports and the WBC... It's no wonder they won't give Whyte a shot.candyslim wrote: ↑24 May 2019, 07:51 Did anyone see that embrace between Wilder and Sulaiman ? Re: What's with Whyte?
It is fun because i dig the guy and i think he deserves a title shot as soon as possible (We Be Crooks should feel embarrassed for his situation); however, i find him hilarious, to say the least, when he bashes Wilder's level of opposition and the other contenders, given he went to the distance with an unprepared and injured Helenius, scrapped it out two times against Chisora and Browne can be viewed as a bust
