Ruiz is made for being KOed by Joshua. He is a come forward type of fighter without anything special defence-wise. His t-rex hands can have decent speed, but for using them he gonna put them on delivering positions without being hit in the process, which doesn't seem possible. His chin is OK, but clean Joshua's punch is too much for every chin. Joshua just needs to stay away, use his range, jab and pick power punches. He can do it, what is proved in his recent fight against a much better opponent.

The reach advantage is going to make it difficult for Ruiz. Unless he spashes forward every so often.

Joshua KO.

I have a ticket for this fight, my first world title fight. I just hope it lasts long enough for me to get my money’s worth. I think Ruiz could do well for a few rounds, but given the viral impact of Wilder’s KO, Joshua may come out firing on all cylinders to make a big impression of his own.

Joshua; tko 10.

A patient Joshua safely wears down Ruiz and stops him in the 10th. Ruiz will prove tough and maybe have a moment or two.

I also feel we will see a patient Joshua. If he see's an opening he'll take it, but I don't think he'll be in a rush.

What did he call it? Boxing finesse.

Yeah, he's too smart to give in to an impulse to outdo Wilder. He'll stick to his own approach.

I think you’re right, he will probably box at his usual pace and wear Ruiz down before KOing him. He’s trying to make an impression in his US debut, unless he does something big he’ll be overshadowed by Wilder.

For me it's unthinkable that Ruiz could win.
Still, I've got to admire his attitude. He's not fooling around, and he's really going for the win.

AJ will get no comfort if he's hoping to exploit any mental weaknesses in Andy Ruiz.

Right now, I don't see any.

Oh for sure. He's on the drugs that got Miller banned + what killed River Phenix + what AL Pachino took at the end of Scarface. There couldn't be any other outcome :TU:

I certainly don't think Ruiz will ko Joshua
But I think people are underestimating Ruiz.
Ruiz will have his moments before falling late in the fight

Me too. I think we'll see a measured, thoughtful performance from Joshua. He knows he's struggled with shorter opponents, and also that an early despatch of Ruiz probably discredits Ruiz more than it adds to AJ's reputation.

Honestly, a joke of a fight. Anthony Joshua is good for bringing in casuals to the sport and the casuals that see this match up are gonna be stunned at the size difference and the physical appearances of both fighters. Joshua’s profile will lower in their eyes for taking this fight. I predict Joshua simply keeps him at bay with his jab and eventually knocks him out. There’s nothing Ruiz can really do at his size.

I'm surprised that so many here pick Ruiz to win by KO. The Ruiz - Liakhovich fight sticks in my memory. I thought that the strangely lethargic and disinterested-appearing L. won, or at worst a draw, but Ruiz got a hometown decision, the usual in crooked boxing. I pick Joshua by an easy and maybe quick KO.

Ruiz has a significant reach disadvantage. Id say jab, jab, jab, right hand and repeat until he folds.

Miller was an interesting matchup too bad hes a cheating scoundrel
