Kubrat Pulev is Now Working With Memo Heredia
Angel “Memo” Heredia he advised BS.com that he is now working with top heavyweight contender Kubrat Pulev (27-1). Pulev is the IBF mandatory challenger for WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO champion Anthony Joshua.
“It’s confirmed that I will be working with Kubrat. He is a great guy and I will have him ready as he continues to work towards a fight against Joshua,” Heredia told BS.com.
Heredia also helped Félix “Diamante” Verdejo prepare for his unanimous decision victory over Brian Vásquez earlier this month on the Terence Crawford-Amir Khan pay-per-view undercard. He has also recently worked with the likes of Badou Jack and several others.
He is best known for his work with future Hall of Famer Juan Manuel Márquez in the lead up to his knockout victory over Manny Pacquiao in their 4th fight.

I saw that this morning. Frankly I don't see changing trainers helping him at his age.

memo is a ped guy (aka 'strength and conditioning' lol) not a trainer i think

Why would Pulev want a notorious drug pushing Spanish speaking trainer from the far side of the world? Especially now when their "war on drugs" thing is raging and one top contender just got suspended for it? How would they even communicate with one another? I hope this isn't true.

I don't want to come to any conclusions but I am guessing the reason ol' Kubrat pulled out of the AJ bout was down do VADA testing

Whoever Pulev is working with its paying off. He looks like a new man lately. Far cry from his Klitschko days where he looked demotivated.

Better work hard because judging by Pulev's last outing he's got a lot of ground to make up.
Pulev is big and strong but brings very few weapons other than the jab power punch combination, there was a hint of body work in there against Dinu but nothing to write home about.
He was in slight trouble for a second against Dinu too and his eye was in a bad way, credit to him that he soldiered through and kept his place in line at a title shot.

Didn't Angel "Memo" Heredia previously sell PED's to Olympic athletes and also helped Juan Manuel Marquez to bulk up?
If Heredia is knowledgeable enough to “enhance” Pulev’s performance, whilst ensuring that banned substances aren’t detected in the Bulgarian's VADA test samples, then he might prove to be a useful addition to Kubrat’s training team.

I don't get it. If he was already a drug user, which I don't think he is, or at least no more so than everyone else (Tyson Fury said everybody is using), why bring attention to himself by hiring a notorious drug pusher from the other side of the world? How will they even communicate, through a Bulgarian-Spanish translator? If he wanted some smart expert on masking drug usage like the other contenders probably use themselves (except Miller's who was stoopid) there must be plenty of low profile wise guys in Bulgaria and the east. Why get this well known guy from Mexico? Similar puzzlement I felt when Povetkin derailed his career by signing on with, of all people, Atlas in NYC, tho I suppose he did that in hopes of having an in with the big buck NY boxing tv mobsters.
