Which division is the "Weakest"?

Usyk and Gassiev moving up to Heavyweight has weakened Cruiserweight massively. Also the winner of this year's WBSS will likely move up too.

I wouldn’t say it’s weakened it. It’s opened it all up. 50-50 fights all round. Some coming up as well.

After Kov Ward ( and poor old Chickenson), LHW is in a bit of a mess. Maybe there are good fighters there, but no single guy because they don't fight each other. So how do you tell how good they are

I agree. There's no clear #1, #2, #3 or #4..

You can’t say Gvozdyk because he beat Adonis. Had Adonis beaten Kovalev in the past, you’d think that’s do it.

Other champions are Kovalev, Beterbiev and Bivol. Until these 4 fight each other at least, we’ll never know.

Only Bivol is left out as he’s DAZN.

That doesn't mean it's weak though. Now that Usyk and Gassiev are moving up, there's still a decent crop of "evenly matched" CW's. They would all make for some 50-50 fights.

When I think "weak" I don't think "non-competitive". I just mean there aren't a lot of great fighters in the division. Even with Usyk and Gassiev included I would struggle to name a cruiserweight top 10 without a couple of so-so names in there. Hell beside Usyk even the top guys aren't that great. Briedis stunk the joint out in his last fight.

I admit Briedis was probably supposed to be the #1 CW after Usyk and Gassiev, but his last few performances have been bad. Maybe he needs to be in there with a good name. Like his next fight against Glowacki?

I have to say right now, i’m favouring Glowacki just slightly. Hopefully Briedis proves me wrong.

I don’t rate Dorts that highly tbh. Tabiti could be big but not a lot of people are big on him.

There’s a good amount of ‘contenders’ in the division right now. But like you said, no stand outs right now.

But in terms of what has actually gone on at cruiserweight since Usyk left, what, Kevin Lerena fought, I guess? At least Breides-Glowacki is coming up.

It has always been a good division in terms of how evenly matched the top guys are. But the loss of the two top guys (plus Hunter who left a while back) has weakend it in terms of the quality of the fighters.

Light Heavyweight would be my first pick if ran the WBSS. That tournament would be epic.

Cruiserweight. Besides Usyk and two other Eastern Europeans the whole division seems like it’s not even there. I hear little about every division but since Usyk moved to heavyweight I haven’t even heard the word cruiserweight
