However being the main event live on terrestrial tv is damaging
Indeed. A large volume of ridicule on social media. Makes the sport look shit. As does this empty venue.

Neil Gee wrote: 25 May 2019, 17:22 They couldn't have found a duller contender than Hughie to put in a main event. Channel 5 must have known what they were getting. Even destroying a far inferior opponent in 2 rounds tonight you couldn't describe HF as exciting. The people who make these decisions are not interested in the future of boxing.
Agreed, that's not going to attract anyone to tune in next time,in fact the complete opposite i'd have thought.

Why is there always a pretend hardman on the front row talking on the phone to his mum "you are on telly now son, we can see you".

I don't think there is any security there tonight to tell him to sit down, as only 50 people paid to go.

Yeah.
That should be the undercard opener or floater.

Channel 5 should demand better.

If Fury Wilder was in Britain it would have been waved off instantly if this fight was in the U.S it’d prob have lasted 15 rounds :bag:

When braithwaite entered the ring did anyone notice fake sounding cheering? Like when you watch an American comedy and they add the fake laughing? Was dead weird

6ft double Olympian Super Middleweight Savannah Marshall v 5'6" Super Welterweight Borislava Goranova, who's been boxing and losing to Lightweights and Super Lightweights in her last few bouts, was an absolute matchmaking farce.

Just watched it, it was poor, very poor. Not a good look for boxing live on terrestrial television.
