Making his debut in the United States, heavyweight Olympian Filip Hrgovic (8-0, 6 KOs), who captured a bronze medal in the 2016 games, blew away Gregory Corbin (15-2, 9 KOs) in one round.

Corbin is coming off an eight round disqualification loss to former IBF world champion Charles Martin.

The fight barely got going before Hrgovic landed a big right hand to the side of the head, where Corbin fell down to the mat. Corbin was dipping down with his head unprotected, and he was caught by a chopping shot that Hrgovic timed.

Corbin made it up at the count of eight and seemed to be confused and unsteady on his legs, which led to the referee waving off the contest.

Hrgovic made a statement here. How he gets matched up in his next fight is going to be interesting!

in the Balkans - surely. Hrgović is a superstar in Croatia and Pulev is a superstar in Bulgaria. so a big fight in southeastern Europe for sure.

Lightweight sensation Devin Haney (22-0, 14 KOs) scored a vicious one-punch knockout of Antonio Moran (24-4, 17 KOs) in the seventh round.

Haney was making his debut as a Matchroom Sport fighter, and his first bout on the DAZN streaming service.

Haney started off in the first with razor sharp punches that were landing flush on a confused Moran.

Moran was trying to land combinations in the second, but he was hitting a lot of air and getting countered for his trouble.

In the third, Moran began to change his tactics by targeting the body instead of the head. Haney was still outworking him. Moran continued to try to make it a rought fight in the fourth, with Haney still holding the edge.

During the fifth, Haney was credited with a knockdown - which seemed to be more of a case of Haney stepping on his foot and landing a body shot. Moran's nose was bleeding and he was ggetting tagged often.

In the seventh round, Haney landed a huge overhand right while Moran was against the ropes - and Moran went down and out. The referee quickly waved off the fight.

True. I've thought so for quite a while.
