It certainly is , Gianluca should be ashamed of himself but no doubt we will get all the usual bullshit about Danny passing all the required medicals .

Jesus christ.

There's been Danny Williams fight again threads like this for a good 5-6 years now.

Really sad he must have some serious damage now.

I can remember telling mates to watch him when he was coming through and about 5-0, must be 20-25 years ago.

After the McAllister fight he went to Nigeria to do security work, so facing Lee Kellett in Cyprus is probably far less dangerous...

Speaking to Danny earlier
The plan is to win a few fights on biba circuit then go for the WBA reguler
I'm with him all the way

Can't see the logic in this mate - BIBA fights are not currently recognised by BoxRec, so any wins on the BIBA circuit will do diddly squat for his official ranking....

Isn't the WBA regular champ Manuel Charr, who already stopped Danny? (Albeit in very dubious circumstances, never actually hurting Danny in any way--the ref was Germany's answer to Terry O'connor)

Danny vs Fres Oquendo would be an intriguing freak show fight.

Biba license ranks u in the ibf and if the country your fighting in excepts biba the wba will sanction it - I was offered a wba what ever title against a Guyana boxer - I just like to fight still, I’m no spring chicken so il keep doing it while I can. People think if boxrec dint recognise you then know body else will but that’s not true - if biba had sanctioned the fury fight sat people would of been up in arms but the board do it and it’s excepted - yes the standard isn’t that of the bbbofc biba is new and like anything had to grow but let’s not pretend the board don’t licence bad boxers or sanction shit fights

Lee Kellett - I did win that title yes pal but as I say Iv also been offered a wba something title in Guyana but for various reasons I didn’t do it. There are all kinds of titles about no matter what licence you box under.

Lee. How do you feel about fighting Danny? I'm sure you are aware Danny was beaten by Lee McAllister so his fighting resistance isn't as it was. I'm sure most boxing fans would agree that Danny has put in his dues and shouldn't really be fighting no more purely for health reasons.

Also do you think BIBA lost a certain amount of respect by sanctioning that fight?

I know the state of boxing these days and would gladly welcome other boxing bodies on the scene to at least try to give boxers who may not be at a standard of the BBBoC but are still good enough at a certain level to earn a few quid whilst doing something they enjoy.

Biba have invested in brain scanners which is a good thing but to date unproven.

Any commission or body has a responsibility to their boxers health so I'm not sure that this is been put into action by letting Danny continue boxing. Saying that the BBBoC do allow many fighters in this country carry on even though their losses are well past 100 with only a handful of wins.

I’m looking forward to it - Danny just holds a name and it’s making him money we all know he isn’t who he was but everything is levels In sport and he’s not fighting the likes of the fury’s whites etc . I’m not sure on the details but I think biba sanctioned the fight with Lee on there show but it wasn’t under there licence - if use wanted the full story I’m sure I can find out the exact facts

Thanks for that Lee.

Why did you move over to biba rather than fight under BBBoC. You seem durable enough so I'm sure you could have picked up fights and no doubt more purse. I can't imagine lads will be earning the standard £1400 for a 6 rounder on the circuit fighting up and comers.
