The states run the boxing commissions and the judges are not all competent.

I know this is a boxing website so that’s the focus of discussion here, but increased government regulation of boxing is about as low as it gets on my wishlist for legislation here in the states. If congress can take time to clean up the mess that state and local boxing commissions have created I’d say the country is in pretty good shape. As it is, I’d prefer they focus on regulating clean drinking water and things like that. I’ll leave it at that.

I really feel people would like to see ONE champion in each division. The only way that can happen is with ONE governing body. If you don't care about all the phony Titles the organizations give out, then you don't need a national body. I really don't care about the "World Boxing Council Latino Silver Featherweight Title ", the" International Boxing Federation Baltic Light Heavyweight Title, and the "World Boxing Association International Welterweight Title" which is not to be confused with the "World Boxing Association Welterweight Title" That is a fornicating joke.

I determine for myself my own ranking of the boxers. :D

Author Brian Tuohy wrote a book titled The Fix Is In: The Showbiz Manipulations of the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and NASCAR. The sequel comes out on June 4 and is titled The Fix Is Still In: Corruption and Conspiracies the Pro Sports Leagues Don't Want You To Know About. Corruption in boxing is widely known, but I didn't know about it happening in the major American sports until I saw the 2005 Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers because of the referees. The recent NFC championship game with the New Orleans Saints losing to the Los Angeles Rams was blatantly corrupt. One video showed a ref trying to make the pass interference call and another ref telling him to stop. It seems that the NFL wanted the Rams to win because Los Angeles has one of the highest television markets, so that team advancing would lead to more people watching the Super Bowl.

I think pro football is the most corrupt. Some people will only watch college football because of that.
